Well they have so much extensive footage, they compile a 7 part documentary focusing on BTS stuff with the movies, tons of bonus features and card collectibles, and claiming UNSEEN Footage from each movie (I think its a blend of deleted scenes and stuff) plus a new nicer cover and a big box with CD's and posters and stuff.
I think we'll get the extended version of POA and GOF because if you look at the new high res images of the bluray ultimate edition. the label on the bluray disc 1 for POA and GOF it is labeled as "The Movie." In the SS and COS, both bluray disc 1 were entitled as "The Movie" but has the theatrical and extended in the disc.
Godric, he said updated to update this thread and bring it back to the front after all of Phantom's useless threads. But I'm sad there's no extended edition.
I wanted footage that they filmed but didn't show us on the DVD deleted scenes. I thought that if we weren't gonna get those, at least we'll get the ABC Family versions.....how I was mistaken.
Regarding the Extended Editions, someone suggested that:
"It was possible with LOTR because production was constant throughout the release of the films, they could work on the extended DVDs as they worked on the next film, the cast and crew didn't change, but with Potter, several key crew members change each movie and they no longer have the original directors or composers. I hope that since David Yates stayed after the Order of the Phoenix they have had time to edit a extended edition of OotP & HBP. Specially OotP, I would like to see that extra hour of footage."
This would make sense as the first two UEs had extened editions, which were helmed by the same team, with Columbus directing both films.
"Today, we've got a follow up for you on those two new Harry Potter Ultimate Edition box sets - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will both street on DVD and Blu-ray on 10/19. As you know, we've confirmed that there will be no extended cut of these films on the discs, unlike the first two Potter UEs, and a lot of you wanted to know why. We asked Warner Home Video for a little more information, and what they essentially said was that they would do an extended version if there was significant or important scenes left out by the filmmakers - scenes that would add more than just length to the film if they were restored. So Warner gave the filmmakers the option to create extended cuts, but in the case of both Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire, the directors felt that the best material was already in the film, so there was really no need. Anyway, I just thought some of you would like to know."
Let us hope that David Yates will be more generous with OOTP, HBP and DH Part I and II. Please, God let it be so.
But if the scene cut were bad, witch add nothing more to the movie what always wanted more, more and more ?
I must appreciate Colombus have the same reaction than Newell and Cuaron because his cut scenes give nothing to the movie and HP1 HP extended movie aren't really exciting !!
Damn it!!! I wanted those scenes in!!! OMG these arent UE......im still pissed,i wish i never baught the first 2,now i feel like i gotta buy these but i wont...... R:,$

The DVD boxset high-res picture has been released and there's only three discs when there should be four.
See the pic here
That's the picture for the BlU-RAY UE.
I own the first two on blu-ray, and there's only 3 discs
