WTF does this even mean? When Harry inquires about Snape's and Lily's patronuses being does, and Dumbledore says this... what's it trying to say?

Hm. For me he said that because it was obvious that Snape's patronus was a doe because he loved Lily.

I know that but the movie kind of played it up weird... and it already explained this during the memory sequence.

The point is that Harry shouldn't even be saying it's curious at all. Having just been out of the Pensieve, he knows that Snape loved Lily so he shouldn't think it's curious that his Patronus was the same.

It´s curiouse because there are the only two persons of the books and movies that have the same patronus (for a reason, of course)

Exactly, my father pointed that dialogue while saying he thought Snape was Harry's dad

The one thing that bugged me about the Kings Cross scene was how they didn't explain why exactly Harry was able to come back to life.

I said days ago this was weird and got shot down for it. No wonder non-readers thought Snape was Harry's dad.

It's not the only strange thing about that scene either. It was supposed to be a scene where we got answers; where Dumbledore explained how Harry could come back to life and where he explained how Harry's wand managed to defend him in the 7 Potters and where he explained his backstory. But in the end we got a scene where NOTHING was explained. It's not as though they even attempted to explain anything of importance, because that scene literally explained NOTHING that needed explaining, hence so many confused audiences and thus rendering the entire scene pointless. It was a really jarring blip in the movie.

Guys, Harry didn't say it's curious as an actual question, but in a laughing manner. You can see him smiling and saying it with sarcasm. It's not like Ollivander's 'curious' where he really was wondering how the fuck Harry and Voldemort got twin wands.

Watch 3:30 through 4:45. I really wish some of the dialogue from this was in the King's Cross part.
The game looks so cool o.O

Don't get too excited about the game, else you will be really disappointed.

Back to the king cross scene, it would have been great If they kept the hallows line, it would have given a little bit of closure to the whole deathly hallows story.
  • BraveheartBraveheart Posts: 1,910 ✭✭✭✭
If they didn't want to get in to the whole blood thing to explain how Harry survived in the movie (and I can see why they wouldn't) they should have at least attributed it to the Deathly Hallows and how Harry was the true master. As it is Harry just randomly seems to know that he is able to return, but the audience is never clued in as to how. I imagine there was probably a longer cut of the scene, because I don't see them filming it and excluding something that important from the start.

Also, almost all the HP games suck.

If you watch episode 14 of that walkthrough, you'll see exactly how that "Why do you live? Because I have something worth living for!" scene was supposed to go.

I think it was more of a verification of what Harry already knew. He just wanted to hear it from someone else.

Omg how can people believe Snape was Harry's dad? I would believe it from ppl who only saw the last film but not all of them. It has been stated throught the films that Harry looks like James except for his eyes. It is clear that Snape HATES Harry, and in PoA and OotP, Snape reminds Harry how he is like his father "ARROGANT, LAZY, WEAK" those words are even mentioned in the prince's tale

Just watching the movie and not worrying about what's in the book, My reading is that Harry was never dead, and doesn't have to come back to life. Both he and Voldemort are stunned. Harry has one of his dreams, only instead of seeing what Voldemort is doing, he sees Dumbledore. Not the "real" Dumbledore, but something like what you see in one of the "living" portraits.

Voldemort killed the horcrux, not Harry. the White scene has been called limbo, but I don't think Rowling ever called it limbo.

I think she intended it to remain a mystery.
