I started to read Deathly Hallow because I wanted to know the ending to the movie, and I like it a lot, and now I want to read the entire series. Hi, I'm a new member/long-time lurker but I am not new to HP, as I started reading the books and seeing the movies in 2001 (before my daughter was born) and made sure I finished reading OotP before my son was born in 2003. They have both read all the books and I brought them with me to see DH pt 2 yesterday (3D IMAX) and they want to see it again. (I'm a big fan of the gorgeous CG of the dragon in DH pt 2, and thus the username.)

Hello everyone *waves* Another newbie here! I joined about a month ago, but never commented until now. I have been a HP fan for years now, and will continue being one:) It's nice to meet you all!
I'm Maria (aka loopy786) and I've grown up with HP like everyone else. I'm about to do my A levels now so wish me luck. :P But to continue with what I was saying, HP is so real that it's unbelievable. By growing up with the books (and the movies), and having waited 5 years for my letter to come and getting desperate to the point where I wrote letters to McGonagall to tell her that my Owl was lost (and never sending this :P ) , I feel an incredibly strong emotional attraction to everything about the books, the characters- EVERYTHING.
And I just wish that the non-Potterheads would understand why my best friend and I sat through from before going to the cinema until the very End of the movie and dumping our glasses in the box, I jsut wish they'd understand why we sobbed our way through it. It feels like a part of me has died but a new part is born in its place. That part, is what is spurring me on. I WILL teach my children about the magical world of Harry Potter, I WILL encourage everyone I know to read the books. I'll even kind of make my children grow up with it by simulating the books coming out- I DON'T KNOW!!!
Talk about being a pushy parent, but that is the one thing I'm not willing to give up!!!!
But anyway, I wrote some WROCK and made a video yesterday, so if anyone's interested, is the way to go.
Can't wait for Pottermore to get underway. Hi I am Ashram. I mainly joined up because of the need to still have something to cling onto with the last movie being out. Although while I wait for pottermore to open up I am on a quest to spread the word about the "Dax ruins Harry Potter" incident on youtube. Apparently some jerk went to the midnight showing of the film with plans to use spoilers to ruin everyone's good time. The best part though is that he was using spoilers from the Halfblood Prince! Haha.
Anyway. Looking forward to getting to know you all in the future.

Even though the books are rated as the best books ever i still find myself going back to Harry Potter! Luckily the Harry Potter books are recommended but that still leaves 45 books before August 29th!! Harry Potter is without a doubt the best series of all time!! (*)
