Alot of people are complaning of the "little" battle it has. Well im not dissapointed because I knew there wouldnt be THAT much battle, I know yates so my hopes were never THAT high fr the battle. My hopes are high for The Princes Tale though. So..... guys the battle will be fine even if youve seen the clips have faith and accept it for what it is. The clips themselves are epic. Enjoy the movie!

Trust me, I know I will love it all. And about the Prince's Tale, I think you will like it. I can tell you will cry and the end just by the descriptions and by your previous experiences, lol. Plus the beginning is supposed to be really poetic and beautiful with Severus and Lily turning leaves into birds. I like how in the middle they will connect back to previous films by showing that footage so I'm pretty pumped for that part.

The Battle will be an epic mixture of old and new footage.

The lack of battle scenes just proves that Potter is much better and has more substance than Transformers, guys. And that's AMAZING!

I was completely satisified with the battle the moment I watched the tracking shot of the death eater attacking someone then the awesome spell that kind of freezes time, it looks so damn cool.

It's funny how this film actually has more action than the rest of the films combined and yet it's not enough, I remember reading somewhere here that If the RoR scene was in HBP it would be a major action setpiece :D and it's true If you think about it, the Harry Potter series is simply not an action series by any way or form, it has some elements of action but the drama is what really shines.

Although I do feel sometimes that David Yates freaks out of action scenes a bit, he directs them so well (DH2 is a proof) but he rarely gives them the priority most of the time (unlike in GoF for example)

Common sense says the Battle of Hogwarts has to be a major staple...
There is some fighting shown from time to time, but the film basically focuses on Harry's mission, so most of the battling you see is background action to Harry fighting his way through the courtyard to get to the boathouse. In other words, it's definitely not an epic as some have said, but there are of course spectacular scenes in the film. At least you don't feel like there is too much action. The only time I thought they went overboard was with the Voldemort/Harry duel which was quite lame.

As others, I know the battle itself isn't the most important thing, but I'm still mad they decided to cut so much of it! Why do we barely get to see any dueling done by the other characters, why pretty much only the trio? Where's Seamus dueling? Cho Chang? Flitwick? Dean? etc, you get my drift. Instead they just threw in a bunch of faceless extras.

I know it'd be nice to see but there are just minor mentions of some of these characters dueling in the book. Guess thats how I set myself up for how much to expect.

The battle, both halves of it (nighttime and daytime), isn't longer than 20 minutes. Don't expect anything longer, guys, because you will be disappointed.

But what you see is good.

The second part of that is the key.

I'm not disappointed at all because the battle wasn't my favorite part of the book Prince's Tale, Forest again, kings cross, gray lady, gringotts + dragon escape was and they were done perfectly. :D

I'm still expecting the battle to take up about 30 to 45 minutes, even if it's not all in your face or the main characters engaged in battle themselves.
Try 6 to 7 minutes of actual battle footage.

Which was directed beautifully. At this moment, I don't care how short it was, what we did get was amazing.

    I fully agree.

    Apart form being the best
    action set piece in Harry
    Potter History, it was also
    extremely BREATHTAKING;
    competing with some battles
    form Lord of the Rings.
Not in length, but in style
    and direction.
