Post your friend's families reactions here!! To all those ppl that only see the movies to see how they reacted!

(SPOILERS from the books! I read in someone's sig that he/she hasn't read hp, so just in case...)

Two of my friends that are harry potter fans only from movies think Snape is bad but they are confused cause he seemed to protect Harry but he turned out to be bad lol
Also, they know that Harry has something of Voldemort since he can speak parselmouth and see through Voldemort's mind, but they dont realize Harry is a horcrux lol

One of my friends kept saying how he absolutely hate Snape during his speech in the great hall, it was awesome how he was completely surprised with the prince tale.

Speaking of reactions, the audience clapped after the film. :)

No one clapped in my cinema, which is odd considering half of the audience did after the midnight premiere of HBP. Maybe they were, quite literally, speechless?

I think that one of my friends (movie fan only) thought for a second that harry was snape's son during the prince's tale, but she realised that she was wrong very quickly.

All of the audience clapped, I was prepared to be the only one if it was necessary, but it wasn't =P

I saw it with 3 people:

My friend who didn't read the books loved it, called it one of her favorite movies.

My book purist friend liked it, but when they complained about book changes I was luckily able to change their mind and explain why the changes were made.

My other friend who has read the books loved it as well.

I'm seeing it soon with family, so that should be interesting :p

My hubby who has only ever watched the movies, loved it and he says he's more than willing to see it again with me. That's never happened for any of the other Potter movies.

And both times I've seen it, the audiences clapped and cheered :D

After the Epilogue all the people in the cinema clapped.

The most interesting reaction was after the Prince Tale when Harry was going to the forest. A deep silence in the cinema.

    My audience clapped, cheered, laughed,
and cried. It was absolutely AMAZING.
I teared up a couple times, and I was
bawling by the time the credits started
    rolling.

When the lights dimmed we all cheered. This is one of the things I do love about midnight crowds, is that everyone is excited, so it can add to the experience. The movie starts....dead silence, LV appears...some cheering, some people shushing them.....WB logo.....dead silence......Hogwarts scene with Snape, dead silence....Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 logo....theater erupts in cheers and applause! I loved it!

There was absolute silence (well....with the exception of sniffling. Lots of people were crying) form the time Snape died to when Harry jumped up from Hagrids arms in the courtyard. Everyone cheered for Harry when he "came back to life".

Molly got applauded/cheered. Neville got applauded cheered for the snake and his speech. The R/Hr kiss got a big cheer and applaud.

Aberforth also got a loud cheer/applause when he does the partronus and you can see him standing there.

So did Arthur and Kingsley fighting the DE's on the catwalk things.

The audience clapped and cheered at the beginning (even before the WB logo), "I've always wanted to use that spell" scene of McGonaggal, Neville in the bridge while Scabior and the gang couldn't pass because of the enchantment, R/Hr kiss, "Not my daughter you bitch!", Neville killing Nagini, and at the end! More than half of the audience stayed until the credits ended. We're like 500+ in the theater.

Alot of clapping and cheering and awwwing until Harry realizes his fate up until he dies. Dead silence. The slightest movement in the audience made noise.
This is what a wasted moment looks like.

My mother, massive Snape fan and movie fan, as she hasn't read the books, went and saw it with me today. We watched all of the HP movies together, from the first to DH1 a week prior to DH2's release. She thought it was utterly excellent, loved the imagery, thought it was epic and so well done and is just marvelling at the whole series now. I can tell she has a much greater respect for it than she ever had before, especially seeing everything develop and the characters change as the series went on. It's been great bringing somebody else into it, though who knows whether she will read the books. My theatre clapped and cheered very much at the end as well.

My mother is a writer herself, though not yet published, so she has a great appreciation for literature and always has. I think that's helped a lot.
