That movie absolutely blew me away. Seriously. I don't even know what to say about it yet. So much was just so fabulous. The effects, the acting, the cinematography...oh THE CINEMATOGRAPHY. I can't say enough for how awesome it was. Of course, I do have several complaints, but they are pretty minimal, and while I don't think it reached its full potential and the whole battle side of things certainly wasn't as harrowing as it should have been and came off pretty meh. In spite of that I am still amazed by how much of its potential it did reach, especially in the smaller scenes. Some of the big moments did leave a lot to be desired though.

Only one thing REALLY bugged me...did anyone find the script pretty horrible in some scenes? In some it was perfect, but there were others where I was seriously questioning whether Kloves was not actually a 7 year old kid who hadn't read the book. King's Cross...man, what even WAS that. :-|

I have no idea what you're talking about, I had no problems with the script.

Really? Dumbledore saying something about how the mutilated Voldemort was "sent here to die", the phrasing he used for telling Harry how Voldemort's curse had killed the Horcrux instead of Harry was incredibly confusing so the people I went with had no idea how Harry returned, he went on a 30 second ramble about how important words are and then saying something else random about help being earned and not given at Hogwarts, and then that weird thing about Lily and Snape's patronus being the same. Was he really trying to make people thinkg Snape was Harry's dad. Yeah, it was a wonderful scene let down by writing, but Gambon acted it superbly.

30 second ramble about how important words are? Help at Hogwarts to those who deserve it. They were all fantastic lines, the dialogue there I thought was best!

And they weren't saying Snape was Harry's dad. It was sort of wink moment if you understand what I mean. Harry was like 'curious how Snape's and my mom was the same,' sorta the last mention of snape loving her.

It's too bad we see differently here, I loved King's Cross: one of klove's finest.

I must admit that King´s Cross scene was a bit confusing- mainly about how Harry survived. Dumbledore only said that the part of Voldemort´s soul was destroyed, but he didn´t mention why Harry survived. Also he said almost nothing about the Deathly Hallows (what was included at least in the videogame)...

The thing I didnt get, the only thing that made me go "Urm, what?" was when Ron said something like "If we die for them, I'm going to kill you" to Harry in the Room of Requirement... I just didnt get that.

Other than that, I have no complaints script wise.

It was in the book. A bit of comic relief is all. RoR was a great scene btw

I think the words line from dumbledore in kings cross was a nod to the power of Jo's books

I thought that as soon as he said it too, but it did kind of take me out of the scene with the randomness of it all. Don't get me wrong, visually that scene was stunning, and the way it was done was amazing. I loved how Dumbledore moving made no sound at all. Like when he was walking, and when he sat down, no rustle of his robes or anything. Also that Voldemort thing was creepier than I could have imagined, and those shots when you see Dumbledore walking into the light were chilling. The only thing that let me down in that scene was some of the dialogue. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an extended, more coherent version of the scene.

There were another couple of lines here and there that I didn't like such as when Aberforth said something like "Secrets and lies you tell me". His little rant at Harry there didn't make much sense, but then again we've heard that there was an extended version so I imagine that line refers to something that was deleted. Oh and the Luna line at the start...that was just weird. But not in a Luna-ish way.

The Prince's Tale though, now that was wonderfully written, and even more wonderfully acted.
