So what was the plot of Part 2?

For some reason the film felt very disjointed to me. In Part 1 i felt like the plot was Voldemort's attempt to find a way to beat Harry's wand. What was the plot of Part 2? Somehow i think that the film needed to be a little more cohesive. And i know that there are the storylines like the horcruxes and killing Voldemort, but it just felt so disjointed that i somehow feel like there needed to be a better connection.

I need to see it again and i need to go to bed.

Part 2 is simply a 2 hour climax of the entire story. I've said it before and I'll say it again but Parts 1 and 2 MUST be seen as a WHOLE. They are dependent upon one another and cannot function separately. It's true that both films feel different and carry different tones, but they're still two parts of the same exact whole.

The plot was they had to find all the rest of the Horcruxes and finish Voldemort.
This is what a wasted moment looks like.

    Finishing Voldemort. Pretty straight forward.

Probably similar to what it was for the last third of the book.

Part 2 is just a continuation of the Part 1. Same agenda for the trio, to find the horcruxes and kill Voldemort once and for all.

Destroy the remaining horcruxes and kill Voldemort. I thought it had better coherence and progression than part 1, which was rather episodic.

I guess that is the answer. It just felt very disjointed to me. I am going to go again tomorrow and see what i think.

I see what you mean, about Part 1 having it's own self contained plot within the overarching plot (Voldemort's search for a wand). Unfortunately not much could have been done to give Part 2 it's own self contained plot because there was no little subplot in that part of the book, it was all just a continuation.
