the logo appears in the clouds like it did in part 1 after Snape watching the marching students.
Hm, okay. And does it come after some sort of fade to black like in Part 1 or is it presented on a stylized transition like the classical "camera zooms into the sky" or some sort?

Ok guys, I'm off to the cinemas to see DH2 now. I'll be back in a few hours ready to answer any questions that have not yet been answered as well as giving my opinions on the film. A review will follow
The battle may have been in the background in the book, but this is the film. In the book they can talk about the epic battle going on behind them and they did show the known characters running through the battle and helping the trio out. In the film they need to show the battle. I am not saying it needs to take up most of the film, but it could have been more then it sounds like it is.

Just finished watching it a few hours ago and its definitely amazing. Without giving away to many spoilers i have to say voldemort comes off a lot scarier and more threatening then in previous films. Just to me personally he was never really terrifying in the movies but ralph fiennes definitely delivers. As for snape's memory and death their was a lot of crying somewhat covered up by coughing so everyone should get the emotional impact they all want from them scenes. The battle could have had more added to it however it doesn't feel to short and is quite impressive. Basically if your a fan of the series (which everyone on this forum obviously is) then you will love every second of it. Enjoy By the way Neville and Mcgonagall are badass

without forget that the history is supposed to have the point of view of a guy that is hiding from the battle, its kinda hard to put battle scenes this way lmao xD

Yes, exactly.
Wait, what? You're agreeing with Decarus...but I thought you said it was great how they handled the battle Jason and even better then Children of Men, Saving Private Ryan, LotR, etc in it's own unique way...
Well I didn't mean it's better, just that the way it was handled was, even if it's short. There could have been a bit more added.
1)The epilogue was quite short and sweet, we see Harry, Ron and Hermione and their kids, but it mainly focuses on Albus Severus Potter and the whole "what if I'm sorted into Slytherin" line .Leaving Hogwarts does indeed play and it was a short and sweet way to end the series. The last shot is a wide shot of the Hogwarts Express ( I think). 2) There was a rather awkward moment in the room of requirement when Ginny walks in and Harry says "oh, hi there" everyone laughed at this. The kiss happened on a stairway and it was pretty short. Ginny is also the first person to step in front of Harry when Pansy Parkinson suggests everyone surrender him to Voldemort.
jason or me_potter_fan, could you remember if we see mcgonagall and the other teachers, and the order are in the great hall after voldemorts's death? do we see mcgonagall, filitwik and the others fighting with the deatheaters?
There was almost non-stop battle, and yes, almost everything is what we've seen before in clips, but I avoided quite a few battle scenes when they went to youtube. The final battle between Voldy and Harry was amazing; their faces merge together into one face and they fly around Hogwarts until they land in the courtyard for the final battle.
It really did feel epic. There was so much going on, how could it not?
The cinematography was excellent also, no shaky camera moments at all and the gringotts cart ride really made me feel like I was with the characters, and I didn't even see the film in 3d
What did you think of the battle?! Is it the epic we've hoped for? Or is it disappointing? How's the cinematography?! THE OVERALL FEEL OF THE FILM...
G.G.
Godric, if you've been abstaining from most of the recent featurettes and BOH clips than you shouldn't be underwhelmed. However, if you have than there is most likely nothing we can do. There is only a bit more battle footage than that, apparently.
And John (Blackvenom) said that the cinematography is maybe even better than HBP's, and deserves Oscar nomination.
Others have said that the tone and feel of the film is dark, ominous, menacing, but very epic.
I remember seeing Slughorn talking to a student (i think) about something that happened once after Voldemorts death, Hagrid gave Harry a hug and filch was sweeping up rubble
