I am an Australian fan and absolutely loved it. My friends all loved it aswell! We thought it was incredible. The Australian fans response is very positive, trust me! You should see facebook at the moment. Positivity galore!
There’s also a lot of what people are saying that sounds kind of underwhelming as well; ‘this isn’t explained’, ‘this actor has almost no proper screentime’, ‘this part feels rushed’, ‘the battles very short’ etc. =((
"J.K. Rowling's creation has proven safe in the hands of Warner Bros. and the team they've hired to bring to life the over 3,400 pages dedicated to the story of the "Boy Who Lived", and I'm very pleased to say it's a franchise I will continue to watch for many years to come.
NOTE: This review was written with Part 1 and 2 considered to be one film rather than just Part 2 on its own. These are quite obviously two halves to a whole and as one film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is very good."
"Thrilling, powerfully acted, and visually dazzling, Deathly Hallows Part II brings the franchise to a satisfying - and suitably magical - conclusion."
I think it's happening the same that happened with Prisoner of Azkaban, critics loved it but many fans were dissapointed, I'm sure I won't be because I loved Prisoner and it's my favorite until now.
Blood Will Be Spilled on July 15, 2011 ...For the Greater Good.
"Deathly Hallows Part Two continues this trend with massive success, and once again ably demonstrates David Yates’ perfect understanding of the Potter story. Sure, it’ll probably do very little to convert lifelong Harry haters, but if they haven’t seen the error of their ways by now then chances are they’re never going to learn.

Not for me... Prisoner of Azkaban is not in my top 3, but I know Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be my favorite one. I can already tell right now.
Same here. I know many people love Cuaron, but for me, he added too much of his own " heritage " ( cannot think of a better word right now ) into it. While I loved the cinematography and the subtle magic in the Leaky Cauldron, I did NOT like seeing giraffe's and monkey's walk along the walls of Hogwarts at all. and the shrunken head was annoying and misplaced.
Thankfully, Yates has pulled it all back and placed the emphasis on the storyline while enhancing the visuals and effects and cinematography to new levels.
" All seven previous films in the Harry Potter series faithfully executed the magical minutiae of J.K. Rowling's books. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is the first to re-create the feeling of reading them. "

To think, those two stupid reviews from like 30 RT reviews ago are the only things standing between DH2 and 100. Imagine if those remain the only 2 bad ones and it get's a 99. Oh my, happy thoughts ensuing!
OMG guys...Do you know how happy I'am to see that 2 Top Critics from New York (Daily News and the Post) LOVED Dh2. I was worried because i thought my fellow New Yorkers would give it a rotten...but the reviewer from the post gave it a 4/4!
~I have NOT read the Potter books, only watched the movies FYI.
