I hate that they disintegrate. Just because they're dead doesnt mean their body explodes... it's pretty stupid.
There's reasoning behind it, it's not just they disintegrate for no reason!
Voldy - Has barely no soul, so the 'quirell' effect on him makes sense Molly - Molly uses different curses on Bella, not AK. These curses cause her to shatter Nagini - Is a horcrux, though I'd rather she didn't they probably have a nice effect. If it's like the snake from the dueling in CoS, than that might be fine.
I think they could have come up with something different for Nagini though. I like the way it's said Bella goes. Molly hitting her with a second spell sounds good and I don't mind the way LV goes either.
The first is not, which I guess is 1 of many cut battle scenes...
You know that BTS shot of McGonagall at front and Harry walking towards the Great Hall with both wands in his hands? That wasn't in the film either. So I guess they cut that whole thing out too for the DVD or never to be seen.
Can anyone tell me , During the trailer we saw Lucius looking back at something with viaduct as the background and draco walking away ? when does that scene happen?

Right when Harry is running away from Voldemort in the courtyard.

Hm, are you sure about the first one? That was BTS one, that means that could've been there from an aerial view at night, so comparing it to that first pic might be impossible.

Good, because that shot is stunning! I feel like the cinemetography will be better than HBP, I kind of like Eduardo's stlye better than Bruno, but agree that HBP was just marginally better than DH1. Yet the battle will allow Eduardo to pass him, imo.

Yeah, tell us more about music in the film finally! I will ask this question again and again until I get an answer!
If we're talking about Leaving Hogwarts and Dumbledore's Farewell - were these pieces recorded again or/and arranged by Desplat? Or did they just use the original recordings from the previous movies? What about the music in the end credits? Very precisely - pieces from DH2 or Hedwig's Theme originally recorded for previous movies or Hedwig's Theme recorded or/and arranged by Desplat or anything else?
Leaving Hogwarts was changed by Desplat, it sounds the same, but parts of it was obviously changed. It wasn't bad though.
And by the way, what would you say about Desplat's score? Are there any musical highlights in the movie? Is the music well exposed or hidden somewhere in the background (comparing to Part 1)? Do you have the feeling after leaving the cinema that the music was amazing? Which cues were the best in the movie?
Please answer more precisely! What about Dumbledore's Farewell and the music in the Prince's Tale? What about the music in the whole movie? Any highlight moments? Thanks!
Guys...stop getting worried over nothing. It's great that Jason can recall MOST of what he saw but i really doubt he can remember every detail on his first viewing. Also, you might not agree with his opinion that the battle was mostly cut and short. Not everyone agrees on the same point you know. Some people thought the battle was long while others thought it was shorter than expected. Just wait until you see the damn movie yourself...
~I have NOT read the Potter books, only watched the movies FYI.
I'll wait on giving my opinion about the battle until after I see the movie for myself.
Same.
Plus, it was only one chapter in the book so not showing all that much of people fighting when the story is told through Harry's eyes doesn't seem bad.

Yes, this. I had high expectation going in, so maybe it was always set to somewhat fail in my eyes.

"Its really hard to put a definitive time on the 'battle' sequences because of how they have intertwined them amongst everything else going on. I would say somewhere between 15 - 25mins."
Yeah, that's about it. But most of it was just the DE assault on the protection.
Jason, what does the kings cross scene look like? A white platform with white sorroundings? Could you describe it for me? And what does Dumbledore look like in the scene?

It's like a long, wide platform(that fades into a white light/fog) with giant arch pillars that go on forever at each side. Dumbledore looks white and pure, Harry does too.
I am very disappointed at the lack of battle scenes, and I think I will be disappointed at the lack of character moments in the battle such as Leanne, Ginny, Luna, Dean, Hagrid, Flitwick, Seamus, Katie, Michael Corner, Paije etc having a moment, even if quick. I don't want to see a bunch of random extras battling.
