Well, I don't know about you all, but I'd hate to be the reviewer who was the first one to bash DH-2. I mean, with all that is being said about it , can you imagine being that person ?

Actually, after a second look, Thompson on Hollywood will not be counted as it's not written by her. It's written by Matt Mueller by correspondance, who is a critic for Total Film, but this time another critic reviewed the movie for Total Film so his review will not appear.
The writer is an asshole, but if you get past his idiotic remarks, it is a positive review.
meh, he's not that bad. R/Hr probably isn't his cup of tea though And most of his comments were jokes. The "Voldemort needing Harry like Sarah Palin needs lamestream media" was pretty funny But it's good that he liked the movie.
The responses are amazing! With so much positivity, we've got to have SOME hope for serious Oscar recognition...Even the critics are campaigning for that.
If the film gets over 92% (surpassing PoA), I'll be more than happy. If it gets a +95% score, its chances for many awards nominations will explode. If it manages to hold the 100% score (Armond White will give it a positive review, though?), then I'm sure we're talking about a sure Oscar contender.
95+ it will win best picture. They simply can't ignore it if it's 95+, they can't.
I have a feeling that even if the battle scenes aren't as "epic" that this film will eclipse LotR in terms of emotion. LotR failed in that respect a bit.

I don't just mean for us Potter fans though...the LotR story is simply not as intimate and emotional. Jackson tried his best to add some of this stuff to it, but still...when you think LotR most just think about the battles and the length, lol. I feel Potter's finale will be much more satisfying across the board. It won't overstay it's welcome, it'll have some great action, and it'll tap into your emotions as well. And for these reasons I think it'll be a better overall film
That's why ALL the Arwen and Aragorn romance was added, nearly none of which was in the books. It needed some emotion.
the best picture talk is great don't get me wrong but....i just don't see it happening because of the potter ignorance the academy has had for so long they just don't appreciate it and can't look past the goblins and trolls and see that its an amazing emotional story..... mostly because the academy is made up of old farts (of course i hope i'm wrong)
