By the way, looking at your sig, Mors, the cinematography in all Snape shots is stunning. Dark, ethereal with interesting camera angles and great coloring.

No, your absolutely right! All the films (with some exceptions) have breath-taking cinematography/ breathtaking *moments*.
Awards Daily, that website LC posted about before, just tweeted their thoughts about the film(which I guess means there was another screening just now).
"#HarryPotter is a great finish to the series. Dazzling, exciting and confusing."
"The #3D in #HarryPotter was good. Not obtrusive or anything but also not necessary. Amazing FX. Score. Art direction."
"#HarryPotter will only be confusing to adults who don't know the story. Enjoyable even without knowing who is who."
Another sign that the film will mostly be received well by critics.

I always figured that'd be the case, especially if they tried to explain wandlore and the blood protection and all that, lol...it was (and still us in some sense) confusing for the book readers even.
I read on CoS that the blood protection talk was cut, so was the "love charm" on those Harry "died" for. Fine for me as long they provided some sort of simplified explanations for why this and that happens.
Chirsty Lemire, co-host of Ebert Presents At The Movies and film critic for The Associated Press, tweeted: Saw HP yesterday, actually. Gorgeous, dark and sad. Actually got choked up a couple times and I'm not a Potterphile #APFilmChat
I wonder if Ebert will have a stronger reaction since he enjoys Potter?

Ebert does enjoy Potter yes, but he prefers the magic and whimsy of the Columbus films as you can see from his ratings. And there's nothing wrong with that (I personally love SS) but he doesn't care as much for the darker stuff so I dunno how he'll react to this one.
He also hates 3D, so that alter his view of the film.
I have a feeling that even if the battle scenes aren't as "epic" that this film will eclipse LotR in terms of emotion. LotR failed in that respect a bit.
DH2's reception reminds me of TS3's last year (and slightly RotK). Nostalgic, emotional, the end of an era (TS3). A grand, thrilling and spectacular ending to a fantasy series (RotK).
Oh guys, that reminds me...when I went to see Super 8 they had Breaking Dawn and DH2 trailers back to back, LOL...so fucking funny the difference in quality.
It would be fun if it did get 0% and DH part 2 a 100 %, however unlikely that is with critics such as Armond White around. I imagine that guy will praise the new Twilight movies, claiming them to be some of the best movies ever made.

So much praise for the film. Wow.
Read the french review, I loved that it focused on the Prince's tale so much. It said that the sequence is a masterpiece, in short.
