I think they're both positive. Even if the weird one is mixed, it's more positive than negative and the fact that he hates the series but he gave the film 3/5 stars is quite positive, I think!

Should we actually have a mixed section? Because we keep debating over if they're positive or mixed. We should just have positive and negative like RT, IMO.
How shoud I count those 2, then, guys? Positive, mixed? Or ignore them?
It's just a suggestion, but if a reviewer cannot get the names of the central characters correct or the director and producer, I would count them as ineligible . It shows absolutely no journalistic aptitude and nowhere near professional.
I mean, it;s up to you guys, and if you want to up the positives then go for it ! But crummy writing is not even worthwhile to bother with.

I think anything that's 5/5 or 4/5 goes under 'Positive', 3/5 under 'Mixed' and 2/5 or 1/5 under 'Negative'.
I agree with you. To be a journalist, you have to conduct research... research would include names, and if they have seen the film, they would have seen and heard the names. This is totally unprofessional.
I agree. It's not even a professional review. I mean, if he can't even write the name of the lead female character and the name of the director right, then why should we even take his review seriously?
I think having a mixed reviews section is helpful. Merely classifying reviews as either positive or negative is less informative since "It was kind of okay" reactions will be counted as positive even though they're really not enthusiastic.
If we convert everything to a grade out of 10, then 4.5, 5 and 5.5 are definitely mixed, but I would also add 4 and 6 to the mixed section though that can be debated.

Maybe he doesn't want to be taken seriously? They often do so just to annoy the fans!
I think you guys just don't want a less than positive review added here. I think it should be added. We can joke about Hayter, but in the end, he just made a mistake. His review contains more than just names. He expressed an opinion from where he stood, which is: he's not a HP fan. The movies clearly never attracted him so much, for one reason or another. I think he's allowed to have that opinion.
We all are entitled to our opinions, no matter how they differ. But when one is talking trash, they don't deserve the luxury of an opinion being granted.

Then he should have written an op-ed piece. Not a review.
No, I don't think so. One can't simply assign a positive, mixed, or negative rating to a numerical review because what people consider positive will differ even if using the same scoring system. A 3/5 equates to a 60/100 which would be failing in most schools, but tends to be positive in most reviews. Take Empire's scoring system, for example seen on the left of this page: http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/review.asp?FID=137029
A 3-star review is considered "good" and good is most definitely not mixed. From reading that 3-star review anyway, I get the impression it's positive, and the authors comment towards the bottom of the page says he was debating between giving it a 3 or a 4, which essentially puts it more at a 3.5 anyhow =P
In my twitter I follow a blogger, so he saw the movie and he said that the movie is disappointing and boring and I trusted in his critics but I think this time I wont be happy, but in the other hand, a person from BlogHogwarts (a spanish blog) said that he movie is THE BEST!

The final concluding installment of the Harry Potter ends with an emotionally charged, blockbusting spectacle of a finale that is every essence and definition of the word...EPIC!
I don't mean to be a kill joy but that 5/5 review is a user review, not a critic review. Also, the guy who wrote it has given very positive reviews to Transformers, Death Race 2, Pandorum, The Box, and The Voyage of Dawn Treader.
I'm dying to see a respectable source give anything higher than 4/5 (or 8/10). I'm not complaining. Reviews have been consistently very good, but I would love to see a couple of "great" ones.

It's 4 starts and it's on RT, but I didn't see it on the list. Maybe my eyes are faltering
Mysterious thing time.
How the hell is DH2 boring and not DH1 or HBP? Lol.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two is a brilliant action adventure and hugely entertaining for young and old."
So. After reading your opinions, I'm posting those two as positive.
