They could only make 3 movies if they REALLY expanded on the story. I'm talking like lots of scenes at Hogwarts, lots of scenes of the Death Eaters causing trouble in the world, Xenophilius printing the Quibbler and showing Luna's kidnapping, show the Weasley family (including them going into hiding after Ron is discovered to be with Harry), expanding on Voldemort's visions, what Ron did after he left Harry and Hermione...etc. Idk if it would've worked though. Not really Harry Potter's style, is it? I think that would take away the focus from Harry too much.
Here's Wimsey's ridiculous article about how to adapt DH....if nothing else it's good for some laughs, lol
I'm a little worried. I mean....we've got it good right now with all the positives, but it won't stay that way forever. I do hope the final score is above 90 though.
"Part II is ultimately a film about the power of love and forgiveness. It may not be as powerful as the book but it certainly packs a punch" Oh c'mon snitchseeker.
Isn’t COS Forum pretty snobbish in some respects? I’ve sifted through the ‘Chapter-by-Chapter’ thread before and it seems that someone can find the most minor thing to claim ruins the scene “Such-and-such an edit is a fatal flaw to the scene because instead of doing-this –and –this which ensures this-and-this we get an un-relatable mess because of this one cut!”
I think that, with the exception of douchebags like Armond White, the film will get only positive reviews. Even critics who don't really like the series seem to appreciate the final film or even those who have few problems with it overpass them because of how great the film is on a whole.
"Last night’s spectacular world premiere from Trafalgar Square – beamed live into screen nine of the Empire Great Park, Rubery – came exactly 9¾ years after cinema’s longest continuous franchise began with The Philosopher’s Stone. Spooky!"
So many 4/5 stars. That is fantastic so far. It is impressive that with 14 reviews all are positive. Keeping my fingers crossed for loads more to roll in today.
Actually, we have roughly 30 reviews right now and no negative ones. I don't want to jinx it, but this hasn't happened before. Ever. Yes HBP began with a lot of positive reviews, but there were also a few mixed/negative ones. But DH2 is a monster. I am sure that a lot of reviews will be released today, so I hope that the vast majority of them are positives.
This is outstanding ! Truly. What an wonderfully impressive way to finish ! Kudos to WB, Yates, Heyman and the entire cast and crew for pulling off a fantastic finale !! =D>
