I know Braveheart,I wanna see each caracter one last time! Even lockhart! And quirell in a flashback! Every person who's been there deserves atleast a cameo in DH! If only JKR had a cameo,I'd be so happy!!!!
Just An Idea... Maybe the scene with Ron and Harry running through the forest is when they are chasing the silver doe... or perhaps when they are being chased by the snatchers... apparently the film makers are dramatising that scene in particular.. literally cant wait for the new trailer!!! GAH! xx
umm, i was kinda lurking on that mugglenet site and someone commented that this place was better :) so i joined up! haha how could you tell that i was new?
Ok, I updated it with the few pics from part 1 that were in the new trailer. Funny how the majority of this trailer was for part 2. I won't be adding the Snatcher chase or Malfoy Manor until we find out when the split is (assuming we'll know when the Chicago screening reviews start popping up in the next month or so).
Well you can tell by the pictures on Page 1 of this thread that Part 1 has some legs to stand on . . . 7 Potters, Wedding, Ministry attack, Godric's Hallow, Silver Doe, Lovegood, Snatcher Chase (plus everything in between these)
I'm thinking this trailer was just to hype everybody up. I'm assuming in the next couple of months we'll get an official Trailer for Part 1 (with only part 1 stuff) and then an international trailer.
I have no doubt Part 1 will still be very exciting. There will be action, and on top of all those scenes you listed, hopefully Malfoy Manor is in before the split too which will give it the dramatic ending. Obviously everybody is looking forward to Part 2 more but I think the first movie will be great, I have faith! :)
Agreed, Part 1 has a lot going for it as far as diversity. If the split is after the snatcher chase then Part 2 will consist of . . . Malfoy Manor, Shell Cottage, Gringots, Hogsmead, the Battle and Epilogue. I'm sure Part 2 will be on the more "Epic" scale but I'm really looking forward to Part 1 as well.
I hope we eventually get a really good trailer for just part 1
I think my favorite scenes in the book are Godric's hollow being first and Malfoy Manor being second. It depends on where they split, but those both could be in Part 1. I clearly hope that Malfoy Manor is in Part 2, but it isn't the end all.
I don't know if i do epic. I hope there isn't a lot of slow motion.
It only very occasionally works. And only when it has been slowed down only by a fraction, like when Sirius is killed. It wasn't slowed down too much...
Lol! Not the whole thing, just wen everyone dies. U know in avatar the slo mo part is wen the heroes die. Hope that happens wen tonks lupin and Fred die!!!! R:,()
I like it when they slow motion before the hit or after the hit. I hate slow motion that sort of drags on. I think they should be very careful with it. I hated the slow motion in Prince Caspin, but the duel in that film was terrible.
I really like how they do the slow before the hit in the show Legend of the Seeker.
Well since they said that they 'changed' Part I's finale with a new and exciting sequence which will give a sense of emotional completion, then I think it'll end somewhere after the Malfoy Manor sequence. Obviously they don't stick to the cliffhanger finale (aka the Snatchers chase and capture sequence) and the only emotional and moving way to end the film would be something at the Shell Cottage. Seriously the Malfoy Manor sequence is way too intense and dark to be the opening of Part II. It will be a breathtaking climax for Part I. Lots of scary and chilling events happen there: the capture, Hermione's torturing, Wormtail's Death, the confrontation, Dobby's death, Voldemort's coming after the Numengard sequence. I think it'll work better as the first film's climax which will follow the pattern: *Arrival at Xeno's house-talk about the Hallows *Death Eaters attack-House collapses-battle resumes in the surroundings (confirmed. Over 20 Death Eaters chasing the Trio on hillsides and forests, with green screens that will create the landscape of lakes around them: interesting! I remember reading that on HP4U.co.uk months ago) *Trio talk about Hallows-Snatchers chase and capture *Voldemort in Numengard *Malfoy Manor: Trio captured and imprisoned-Hermione tortured-Wormtail's death-Final confrontation-Dobby's death *Shell Cottage: Return, Dobby's burial, Harry's final decision about Hallows and Horcruxes / Voldemort punishing the Death Eaters (and/or stealing the Elder Wand).
That would be an amazing climax, IMO. Starting Part II with Voldemort stealing the Elder Wand, Shell Cottage scenes with Ollivander and Griphook and then the entire Gringotts sequence would be a fantastic opening, IMO. Then, we'll have the final travelling scenes, Voldemort killing Goblins and finding about the missing Horcruxes, the Hogsmeade chase, the sequence with Aberforth Dumbledore and then the evacuation and building-up of the battle (missing diadem, Chamber of Secrets, armies united, Fiendfyre etc.). That would all be around 60-70 minutes of amazement leading to the entire Battle of Hogwarts sequence which will be, totally-including Snape's death and memories, the walk in the forest, the talk with Dumbledore and the aftermath-another bunch of 60-70 minutes. And then the 5-minute Epilogue and here it is. A 140-150 minute film for Part II. I don't know. I believe that since Heyman said that they go to Hogwarts very early in Part II and Yates said that the second film is about the final war at Hogwarts, I think they'll follow that pattern. Which will be great. Part I needs to be a little bit bigger than Part II IMO. It has to be around 150-165 minutes long but it has to give that feel of absolute desperation, depression and darkness. Unfortunately, there are not many action sequences but it will be far more action-packed that any other HP film previously released (except maybe Goblet of Fire). I love the fact that they've made the whole camping far more interesting with all these beatiful establishing shots and the travelling in various locations. They stick to the emotional part of the book and that will be aamazing on screen.
How i want you to be right about the lengths venom but Day has already said that on average both films will be 2 hours 20 minutes (that better not include the credits!) but once again i hope you're right about the lengths (you never know) and all the happenings you were talking about.
I do think that after Dobby's burial is way too late in the game for the split. It does seem like they have changed their mind and that is where the split is going to be. I think that will only cause them to cut stuff from part 1 especially since we know there seems to be added scenes.
I am still hoping before Malfoy Manor because of what they said earlier on about the split, but the latest thing Heyman said did suggested a more complete ending so it might be at Shell Cottage.
If that is the case they made a mistake. What would have been.
Noooooo the snatcher split is the only right way to split it.....if they put the malfoy manor scene in part1 theyll have to make it pg13 and i doubt theyll do that...... R:,/
Scott, part 2 will only have the gringotts break in and the battle.....thats all the action, and part 1 has plenty without the malfoy manor scene.... R:,)
