Yes, I agree, slantee. I think one thing that pisses HP fans off is the fact that Twilight is not well-written and it's not a good read at all!! Besides, the movies are really bad. That's why comparing Twilight to one of the most important sagas of the history is so annoying.
My copy of Catching Fire arrived today. I've already started reading and am loving it
And about THG vs HP, I don't know. One, they are two different genres, so they cannot be compared. Two, even if they are, that would be a much better comparison than Twilight vs HP because THG is a MUCH MUCH better read than Twilight. There's a tight, compact, strong plot. The characters are well developed. There's lots of raw emotion in the story. And the action is very well handled. And so is the suspense. I love the way how almost every chapter ends with a kind of revelation or something that would make you want to start reading the next chapter right then. The Twilight series isn't nearly good enough. So even THG and HP are compared, I'd be happier cause its a valid comparison of two amazing books.
"What to Expect at Comic-Con: Entertainment Weekly premiered the first photo of Lawrence as the lead character Katniss — and production on the movie hasn’t even begun. But cameras are set to start rolling shortly, meaning Ross may have a little footage to show off to the rabid fanbase at this year’s SDCC. The question has always been about Lawrence pulling off a character near and dear to many fans hearts, so producers may aim to quell that fear at the convention. Besides, we’ll need something to combat the Twilight hoarde.” - Source: Ugo.com

Yuss! I probably don't they will release it, but I need to see some released stuff from this movie! Like the capital and all.
Award-winning Composer Danny Elfman In Talks To Score ‘The Hunger Games’ Movie
Award-winning composer Danny Elfman had a a lively Q&A with The Grammy Foundation’s Vice President, Scott Goldman at the Grammy Museum’s intimate Clive Davis Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California.
And then another one called The Hunger Games popped up, which seemed like really interesting thing. Different — and different catches my attention in a way that’s like, “Oh, I can’t ever pass up a chance to do something different.” So that deal’s not even closed, it may not even happen, but we’re well along with that.
His previous works include Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man 2, Corpse Bride, Alice in Wonderland, Terminator Salvation, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
“We’ve been told exclusively that Elfman is definitely scoring The Hunger Games with T. Bone Burnett, who recently won an Oscar for his work on Crazy Heart.”

Matt. Her writing style is indeed weird. I'm not even a huge fan of first person narratives, but trust me... The story is so good, so good that you'll get used to it and just forget the style.

Thanks for the advice LoL I'm gonna start reading it later, before I go to bed
i don't want any spoilers but i just want a varied opinion... i read the first book the writing is a little strange but it was pretty good but my question is: is the second book a letdown or even better?
Just finished the first chapter. Suzanne Collins' writing is really annoying, but the structure of the plot seems very strong by the first chapter. And I was simply blown away by it's ending that I had to come here to comment.
Gonna go back to read now, I'll comment more later

) same happened to me at the beginning... but once you are stuck on the story, you forget the writing style And I love how all the chapters end in mystery
I want to read Catching Fire right now but I wanna buy it, I read The Hunger Games online and it was an amazing book, I hadn't felt that emotion reading a book since I read Deathly Hallows. I want to buy Catching Fire tomorrow!! There's nothing like reading a book physically rather than online!
