Remember, WB released a near-2 minute trailer in November when the movie came out the following July. And 20th Century Fox JUST released a 2-minute trailer for Narnia, and it was the first trailer.
I guess they want to give footage of both parts 1 and 2 to keep the split a secret, for some stupid reason. I don't know why they're so determined to keep it a secret. I'll still see the movie, even if it doesn't split at my favorite point :\ But two minutes of footage! Woooo!
yeah, clip normally means an actual scene (or part of a scene) . . . not a montage of clips or images. I'd call MTV's thing an exclusive teaser but not the official teaser.
Many sites are calling the two short trailers "Announcement Trailers." I'm not sure but I still think they're too short to be teasers, at least for Harry Potter. Well I really dunno but whatever.

There is plenty of action in Part 1. The seven potters, the wedding attack, the cafe attack, the ministry infiltration, godrics hollow, silver doe, lovegoods house/snatcher chase.
I agree though i want to see scenes from just Part 1 so that we can figure out the split point.
Why though? People who aren't crazy fans like us aren't going to care where the film is split. Us crazy fans will get to know so that we can quit talking about it already.
Yeah i know, i only want it to be for Part 1 too... so that we see more of Part 1 instead of Part 2 which isn't needing of a trailer at this point and that we might have an idea or confirmation of where the split point may or might be, though i would love to see a Part 2 trailer at the end of the Part 1 credits! ya know?
there prmoting both films to create more hype not that DH needs it LOL but its not going to turn folks away! (besidws if this traler IS for bith films which we dont even know yet (i translated occumencia on my own computer and that statement was no where to be found) im sure teyll put up both dates like the hbp dvd one did)
Yeah it din't really have an ending did it? just having Harry and you really don't stand a chance doesn't really constitute to the ending of a normal full trailer, it was the same with the sneak peek back in december.
i can imagine a narrator saying sometihng along the lines of "harry potter's final adventure is so massive one movie could not tell the tale" or something
Yeah in that chilling British voice that was in the HBP trailer, it should be all like "THIS NOVEMBER....FROM WARNER BROTHERS PICTURES.....THE END IS UPON US ALL...."
