DH2 soundtrack up for pre-order

at Amazon. Their starting price is $16.62, but it's bound to get lower. I pre-ordered mine and have it set up to be delivered the day it comes out. The DH1 soundtrack was so hard to find in my area that I had to go to Best Buy in St. Pete to get it (I took a vacation day to do it-lol) but with the gas prices and with me taking the 15th off I figured the extra shipping charge will all even itself out. Since they have it up for pre-order, it shouldn't be too long until the track list comes out [-O< It should be awesome!

This is going to be fucking amazing. I can't even begin to imagine what Desplat ALONE is going to do for the Snape stuff. That material is like right up his alley-- a lot of things about Part 2 is right in his home turf.

That is true, but the funny thing is that action is NOT. I hope he can come up with better titles this time, because the titles of Part 1's track list were bad, just telling us what was happening.

I disagree. Desplat is flexible. The action he wrote for Part 1 merely reflected the action on-screen. I'd argue that he hasn't really had much of a chance to shine in the action department and the way he handled the chase in the forest was incredible.

Sky Battle was great, that section of really fast paced action was written like he was on an acid trip. The escape from the Ministry was great. And again the forest chase was awesomely unique.

That's about all the opportunity he really had for action in Part 1. If you think his action work for Part 2 will be anything less than great, then sir, you've got another thing coming.

Part 1 action sequences are not long or plenty dont be Unfair. The ST for action was great in the mood of the scenes, wich were quick. Why would you want an amazing epic fking awesome score for the ministry escape, when the scene is like 2 minutes long?
DESPLAT captures the emotion of each scene, and We cant judge him until we hear what he does for the LONGER action scenes in part 2

Darth, Sky Battle was great, yes, i agree... but i stand firm to say that it was no better than alot of other action music set pieces in other films. As for the forest chase, i'm talking about the music, of which it had none, not the actual scene.

Yeah...maybe the last part. And even so...They just played it with very low volume. Not only in this scene. Im talking about the movie in general, they were soo horrible with him, I could barely hear anything in some scenes. I hope they make him shine better in part 2
