It just needs to be a short and bittersweet scene. :-) I'm sure that from the moment that Snape dies in the boathouse until the very end of the film, it'll be extremely emotional. Snape's death, Fred, Tonks and Lupin's deaths, the carnage and destruction of the castle, The Prince's Tale, Harry bidding farewell to Hermione and Ron, Harry's walk to the forest, the Resurrection Stone, Harry's death, the talk with Dumbledore, the final battle at Hogwarts, Neville, Bellatrix's death, Voldemort's death, the aftermath and then the epilogue...it'll be really emotional. I hope it's handled well. :-)

the whole sequence you mention must take its time. half an hour it´s what i would like
Half an hour from Snape's death to the end of the film? No way. It needs to be around 45-50 minutes!
yeah, right....where would you put the other stuff uh? the battle starts at 1:00 hour, so...?
ps: I finally succeded in making my point. Of course I agree with you black!! I just wrote this so you would all realise WHY i think 2 hours is soo rushed!!!
Well I think that the Battle of Hogwarts won't be as long as we want it to be...
I expect Shell Cottage, Gringotts, Hogsmeade and pre-Battle Hogwarts scenes to take place in the first 60 minutes of the film. That leaves 65 minutes for the entire climax. If the Battle of Hogwarts (first half) is 20 minutes long, this leaves 45 minutes from Snape's death to the end of the film. I think it'll be OK. Test-screeners said that the pacing was fine.

Well...I dont know how long the battle will end up being...All I know is I dont care as long as the pacing from snapes death till the end is fine. Like you told me...no less than 40 minutes at least!
But what I am saying here is that exactly. You tell me: I expect this scenes to be the first 60 minutes...I mean in our minds we are already forced to rush everything...thinking how it could fit the running time But just think for a second...if we wouldn know the running time yet...Would you seriosly give the film 2 hours in your head? nop...not me at least. I had it like 2 and 30. And then when I heard the runnning time i had to change that.... I dont know if I made myself clear...anyway...
Yeah I was expecting a running time around 140 minutes (without end credits). I think that the test-screeners said that everything until the Hogwarts scenes feels a bit rushed. Not like Order of the Phoenix or Goblet of Fire, but the story moves quickly. From the moment they arrive to Hogwarts until the end of the film (a total of 85-90 minutes), the pacing is fine. I hope so.

Ok, then your telling me you were expecting it longer...thats what I mean! Yes...they all said the 2nd part of the film is paced perfectly, and at least I thank that.
I think that when the WB logo appears, I'll feel so anxious. It will be a unique experience. We will view each scene very intensely. Even if it's a short conversation scene at Shell Cottage.
Yeah the Epilogue won't be a 'mind-blowing' ending and it doesn't have to be. Just a short warm bittersweet scene that ends the entire saga nicely. I hope it's a simple and lovely scene.
Exactly, being blown away isn't something i've ever felt with a Potter film, only remotely with some of the other films on show.
Lord Stafford.
You were saying you doubt it will be emotional. "Mind-blowing ending" is some other matter.
Wrong. I never said anything about emotion with the epilogue, only mentioning it with Toy Story 3.

"No offense to anyone, but none of these will compare to the Epilogue. The Epilogue will be the most powerful film ending ever.

Sorry, but no, just no... Ron doesn't even speak, and apparently Draco isn't even shown, plus... it is only going to be 2 minutes long.
Lord Stafford."
"...and i'm not going to say that it won't, but... i honestly doubt it will!"
Thread title is Most Powerful film endings. Most of the time that means how emotional and touching it is, for you, without even watching it, think it will not accomplish that.
I said that i don't think it will 'blow me away' of course it's going to be emotional, i'd be stupid at this point to think any different, but... i suppose i'm stupid as well because i don't think Part 2 will be the best film of all time?

In what way do you mean that, exactly? Because the first few word's of the last post you quoted would suggest that i do read what i say, and more so than sometime's!
I haven't heard that from you for a while, Nick... but never mind, this is clearly going nowhere, and for once... in a good way. Neither Jason or i are feuding, we're merely expressing our differing views.
