I thought there was going to be a big twist at the end (like Michael saying he's not staying at Colorado or everyone else is moving with him, etc.) but no.
The shot of Pam watching the plane take off was so sad. :-S
Let me start off by saying that I don't watch the Office.
I watched the first couple seasons at a friend's in Texas two summers ago, and I fell in love with it, but I never finished watching the show. I loved Michael Scott as a character, and loved the awkwardness and all of the show, and I was so deeply saddened by his leaving when I heard the news. So I just finished watching this tonight, and boy I cried like a bitch. I really didn't expect to, but that was pretty horrible. I can't believe it made me cry at all, but it was really sad. I didn't even watch the entire show. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you guys who are big fans and all. (
I bawled...plus I live in Scranton so it was very special to me
That's cool that you live there. I've always wondered what it would be like to be a fan and actually live in Scranton. Can you tell me, is the show a huge hit there? Like is pretty much everybody in town a fan? Just curious.

ABSOLUTELY. I had never cried so much in a TV EPISODE of any other series. This was way too much
You can't really compare a show like Lost with The Office. Two different genres. Still, I didn't care for Lost and could never get into it (and that last episode was horrid).
I'd just like to bring back this old thread because tonight marked the finale of one of the most important shows in my life. The ending of The Office was everything I hoped it would be and I'm just very grateful for these past nine seasons. I hope every fan out there enjoyed it as much as I did.
