Emma Watson MUST have had Acting lessons!!

She was outstanding in DH1! She improved slightly in HBP but she was AMAZING in DH1, she owned that film! So emotive and strong!!

Shes such a wonderful talent!

Well she did have theater class when she went to Brown. I remember her commenting in an interview on how the professor said she was breathing too heavily.

Followed very closely. I think he has really grown.

Lets not forget that Scorsese said he would want to work with Rupert. Like his directing style or not thats a huge compliment.

That Scorsese comment turned out to be false, look it up. He actually took the trouble to say he's never watched any HP films, so, oh well :-))

I still think he's a talented young actor, for whatever that is worth.

Having Scorcese say that or not doesn't change the way I see him.

Yeah, I know, he's still a good actor! Definetely, he's come a long way even if he was pretty good when he was young. But I think there is potential for all the trio to do well. I don't really find that I can judge any of them better than the other after seeing DH1. HP and R/Hr are only single roles and it will be good to see who can do diverse roles well. I mean, I'm sure they've all got good film roles in the pipeline and isn't Radcliffe getting rave reviews for his Broadway performance?

If I were a student in Emma's acting classes I think it would have felt weird . . . being there with someone who's been in many blockbuster films. It would be a little intimidating I think.

Actually, she was fairly well in Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets, but she faulted in Prisoner and Goblet. Yates really got the best out of her in his last three, though.

Emma's shot most of DH before she went to Brown, so the acting class there, if she used any of the advice, would have only affected a hand full of scenes that they would have had to squeeze in over holidays, and just after school ended up the wrap in June.

Emma said in one of the pressers that Yates wanted a truly honest performance. She said that she always felt as if she was playing a parody, instead of something more genuine. I'm glad she made that choice because she was terrific. The trio really impressed me in DH1 quite frankly. Very impressed.

I believe she also took an acting class in the UK before she went to brown after she filmed Half Blood Prince.

One must always remember that how good an actor is in part is due to the skill of the director. Yates handled these characters very well, and has just improved with every film in how he directs the actors.
