I think it's been mentioned before but there was some new footage from the last Potter films few weeks ago
and I was there.
Some memorable footage comes from 'Inception' which is going to be a great film. And I'm searching for a nice forum to share my opinions on the stuff they exclusively showed. But the scenes we saw from the Potter installments seemed quite great as well. There was much unfinished footage but it was alright and quite grand even without finished visuals. And it lasted quite a lot.
I've followed the book series, haven't read chamber of secrets and prisoner of azkaban though, so thank god I knew what was going on there because there were little bits from everything. I don't remember everything but most scenes are still in my mind.
We also saw footage from Sex and the City II and Clash of the Titans and other films as well. If you're interested in anything from the other films feel free to ask.

I also remember Harry and Ron arguing. And a scene with Hermione under the rain in a forest looking quite shocked and distraught. I think that Radcliffe has really matured. The footage was like 5 minutes long and all scenes with him seemed very well-acted.
Overall I was impressed but 80% of the scenes were unfinished. Not good lighting, unfinished CGI etc. But everything seemed to have great potential.
Hermione in the forest in the rain. That is interesting. I wonder if that is after Harry and Ron argue. What did you think about the scene with Harry and Ron arguing? Did they really seem upset with each other? Good acting?
I agree that Daniel has improved over the years.
I think the argument was brilliant. Intense stuff. Loads better than their tiny argument in Goblet of Fire if you ask me! And Ron was really obnoxious and pissed off.
Dan seemed much much better than anything we've seen before.
There were lots of forest scenes. I remember a great one with Harry, Ron and Hermione being chased by Snatchers. That was awesome, nothing compared that tiny bit in the sneak peek. It was a much darker setting, clouds swirling, the trees were lit that way that it seemed they were made of pitch-black wood. At least that was what i thought.
There were also some panoramic scenes with the Trio traveling. I remember a scene in a moorland, passing through swamps and endless marshes, forest scenes, a scene by the lake and I think there was even more but I don't remember very clearly right now.
Umm there was no Silver Doe scene or something. Which was quite a let-down. I wanted to see Ron destroying the horcrux. No Nagini as well.
Oh!There was this great little scene with a part of a Hogwarts tower collapsing, another Hogwarts building on fire and the Quidditch Stadium in flames as well! I did not expect anything from the battle of Hogwarts! Yet we got these 5 seconds or something. Well, better than nothing of course!
I hope that Ron and Harry really go at it. That is supposed to be such a hardcore moment when Ron gives up on Harry and Hermione stays the course. From what you have said and others it sounds like it might be really great. I am glad that you had a good impression.
Too bad about the Silver doe scene. I really want to see a bit of that as well. Even if it is just Ron being crazy during it. They might hold out on us with that.
I wonder about that tower. Sounds interesting.

I don't know about that tower scene but it seemed cool. Maybe they did show something from the Silver Doe scene because there were way too many various forest scenes but I didn't see any lake or the doe itself.
The Battle of Hogwarts will be epic! It seemed so. And we just saw 5-10 seconds of it. Nothing long. But these 10 seconds are truly memorable. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised to see the Quidditch Stadium burning. And the distant mountains and forests were partly in flames, as well. And the sky had this 'war' colors. Dark grey, shades of black and brown, mixed with deep red as well. It just had a very Lord of the Rings feel!
Godric I can tell you a lot more, I just can't remember specific things. Ask me about certain scenes and I'm sure they'll come to my mind, if they were in the preview of course! But I think we pretty much saw bits from everything!
I think they will be great films! Especially Part 2. It'll be like the climax of all climaxes or something!
We saw bits of the Malfoy Manor, Shell Cottage, Gringotts and Battle of Hogwarts scenes and even if they didn't last more than a minute in total because the footage was mostly from Part 1 it just had a very LotR-esque feel. And I got that vibe from these 30-45 seconds of all these scenes.
Oh now that I said Gringotts!
There was this crazy scene with Harry, Ron and Hermione trying to protect themselves from a furious dragon! That was great as well but the CGI were half finished. It felt weird but the reactions and the animation etc. seemed great.
Oh and there was also this strange scene with Hermione on a broom looking at some statues melting and fireballs crashing around her. Is that the scene where they fight Draco? Because I didn't really understand what that was.
Could you tell us if there was anything from the seven potters scene and if you can remember what did bill nighy as scrimgeour look like.

But all in all there was no McGonagall.
But there was some footage with Snape. He is in Malfoy Manor with Voldemort and in Dumbledore's office I think.
There was this little scene with Rufus Scrimgeour talking in the Atrium of the Ministry which looked quite different. It was very dark, even darker than that bit with Voldemort and Dumbledore's duel in Order of the Phoenix. But it was a quick scene and he was talking about an uprising and the growing danger of Voldemort's threat. Bill Nighy is such a great actor. He captured in very few seconds such powerful emotions. He has facial stubble like a small beard and his hair are quite curly and down to his neck or something like that.
Oh! The Seven Potters scene! I totally forgot that!
I remember quite a bit from that! Seven Daniel Radcliffes! That was great fun and weird but it will be so funny on the big screen. And then they showed two scenes with the battle scene. Harry and Hagrid on the motorbike flying over the landscape in a grey-black sky and Death Eaters swirling behind them and below. And before that a scene where Hagrid and Harry rocket to the sky with a Death Eater chasing them and other people on broomsticks and Thestrals flying to different directions. That was amazing. And the CGI wasn't really finished in both scenes.
Oh and I have a question..
Has this footage been shown in a trailer-form with music etc. ?

They have given information on the release date of the first trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part I)?
Did you watch Luna in the trailer? Can you describe the snatchers?
He's not different to be honest. The only lines he had were during the scene in Malfoy Manor which lasted around 10-15 seconds. From that scene alone, he made it clear he was determined to kill Harry. He was really arrogant and absolute. Fiennes is a great actor.
No! They didn't mention anything about a trailer! Actually if I could see some stuff from that footage with finished CGI and finished cinematography that would be great!
I don't remember Luna. She wasn't in that epic scene with the wedding guests exiting the tent and looking in terror, while flames were burning a part of the field around them. I think this will be a great sequence!
I don't remember much from the dialogue.
Scrimgeour talks about the danger of our times, Mr.Lovegood says something about the Deathly Hallows being rare objects no one could find through centuries, Mr.Ollivander saying that the power of the one who possesses the Hallows, rumor has it, is enough for him to be immortal, Ron tells Harry that he doesn't care about anyone since he lost his family and he doesn't care about people being in danger and getting killed because they support him and try to protect him, Voldemort says these lines about wanting to kill Harry, Rita Skeeter, I think it was her, saying that dark secrets will be revealed for the beloved headmaster of Hogwarts...I don't remember anything else that was important. Hermione and Harry had very few lines...Oh! Voldemort says in the beginning that 'Harry Potter, they boy who lived comes to die'. That line and the entire scene in the forest was so chilling!
I remember her in the forest scene with Voldemort. She had a surprisingly serious look and she was standing right next to Voldemort.
Also she's in Malfoy Manor teasing Harry, Ron and Hermione who are thrown on the floor.
I don't remember anything important about Hogwarts in Part 1. In general we didn't see lot of Hogwarts. There was a scene with Death Eaters patrolling the grounds (?) or something like that and a scene with Snape in Dumbledore's Office but these two may be in Part 2, I dunno. But these were the only scenes at Hogwarts that didn't involve any battling.
And did you see Tonks or Lupin?
Nothing about Ron and Hermione, except a scene with Hermione over Ron in a forest where he's bleeding.
I don't remember Tonks but I did see Lupin. There was a scene at the Burrow where he was talking.
The Seven potters scene was cool. There were 7 Harrys in the Dursleys home living room and Moody was searching for the real Harry.
Then we see a shot of Hagrid and Harry flying, while Thestrals and people on broomsticks follow various directions beneath them. And there was a Death Eater flying towards them. Then there were Death Eaters swirling in the clouds as Harry and Hagrid were flying over the countryside.
Well I try to remember as much as possible. I'm not here to add more stuff. I'm just here to talk about it.
You said that there were some panoramic scene but I want to know... these scenes were like the Lord of the Rings with gigantic snowy mountains and landscapes and something big like that or it was just small panoramic view of the forest??
How is the meeting of the trio and Kreacher? (If you can remember of course)

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS
For the final part of the presentation, Alan Horn gave
everyone a special treat as he premiered a ton of footage from the
upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
He started off by telling everyone that the footage was very raw and
unfinished and he wasn’t exaggerating. The footage
started with Voldemort walking in the forest with all of his followers
around him. He was looking for Harry. While I
assumed the footage was going to be just from the first Harry
Potter movie coming this November, I think the opening was
from part 2 and it was from the big climatic battle between Harry and
Voldemort! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
So we see Harry coming towards Voldemort partly beat up and
with a look of nervousness. It was then we cut
away…
The thing to know is the footage was very
rough. All over Ralph Fiennes face were blue dots so they
could take away his nose in post production. It was
incredibly cool to see.
was 4-7 minutes but I could be off. Other bits of footage
were Harry, Ron and Hermione in the forest fighting as Ron tells Harry
that since he already lost his family his pain isn’t as
important (or something like that). We also saw tons of
pre-viz mixed in with shot footage like Harry flying with Hagrid and
Voldemort chasing him with other Death Eaters. I also saw a
scene of all the Harry’s from the beginning of the
book. Other bits were the kids in London walking around, Bill
Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour, Harry and Ginny kissing, Snape at
a very large table with Voldemort and his followers telling him that
Harry will be brought to a safehouse where it would be hard to get him
(the beginning of movie 1), and so much more. Some of the
footage looked like it was done and some was very rough. The
only thing I knew for certain after watching the footage was the movie
is going to be amazing and I am so happy the last book is in two parts.
The trailer ended with the info of when the movies are getting
released and how they’re both in 3D. Which is
awesome.
I was wondering, do we get to see anything during the ministry infiltration, it's a big deal in part 1. Alos id there anything about the trio camping or Godric's Hollow
There were panoramic shots yeah! I remember one of a giant forest in between mountains and another one of snowy mountains. There were few others as well with the Trio walking in some marshes.
I didn't see Voldemort in the 7 Potters scene but yeah the Death Eaters were like smoke.
No Ministry scenes except a brief one with Scrimgeour talking in the Atrium and another with Harry and Ron stunning Mafalda Hopkirk.
There was a scene at Godric's Hollow! Harry over his parents' graves and another one with Hermione looking at the gathering storm in the snowy clouds above the village. But that may be a different scene though I think it was Godric's Hollow.
