I meant light rules. Not things that people don't want to post anything to reduce the risk of being banned.

Suckerpunch looks awesome, the soundtrack has two of my favorite songs from when i was a kid... Im seriously considering going to see this at midnight!
"If you make yourself more than just a man... If you devote yourself to an ideal... You become something else entirely- A Legend."

Does anyone know wtf the song "White Rabbits" is about? LOL, I ask because it's one of the songs on the soundtrack...and was also in a movie I watched last night- The Game, which is an often forgot David Fincher film but a really awesome one despite its implausibility. Very unpredictable and entertaining. ^:)^
White Rabbit, a 1967 song by Jefferson Airplane, is said to be a song that is a combination about the effects of psychedelic drugs and the works of Lewis Carroll.

^ These movies are either amazing or bust. It depends on what you're in to. I loved Watchmen, so in all likelihood ill love this movie. I also loved V for Vendetta, which had that graphic feel to it as well.

I think Sucker Punch will be amazing. Everything in the fantasy world, is a symbolism for something in the asylum. An the five things will just tie together and will be stuff in real life and make something. Urgh! I have no idea how it's going to turn out, but I know FOR SURE it's going like that.

Yeah, I don't like him. Roger Ebert is by far the most realiable and best movie critic

I do like Roger Ebert, but I disagree with a few of his reviews, especially when it comes to the Harry Potter series.

Didn't he say that Prisoner of Azkaban wasn't as good as the first two films? I also think I remember him rating Order of the Phoenix 2/4 because it wasn't as magical as the earlier films. Or am I thinking of someone else?

I'll reserve judgement for all critics until I see their take on the greatest movie of all time *Yet to be released*

Yeah, you're right jonny. He said Prisoner of Azkaban was worse than the first two lol, which is fine if you're in to that kind of thing. He just prefers the comedy, whimsy and magic. Whereas I prefer Yate's grittier take on the series.

He gave OotP a 2.5 his ratings are

    SS 4
    CoS 4
    PoA 3.5
    GoF 3.5
    OotP 2.5
    HBP 3
    DH1 3

He's very intelligant w/ movies. In the OotP he said "what happened to the fantastic thrill you used to get, that makes you feel like a kid again?" I'm guessing that's why he liked the first two so much.

As you might have noticed in one of the other threads, I'm curious if there is any female interest in this movie.

I mean what is the point of the schoolgirl outfits and all? I'm not complaining, but that's the one thing that makes me question whether Snyder has really made a "girl power" movie or if the intent is just a "fanboy's wet dream." Setting aside any pre-conceived notions, with what I know about the story I should think this would appeal to both sexes, but the critics all seem to be screaming it's just made for men. Now if the sexualization is just to draw male crowds to see a female empowerment movie or something they normally wouldn't, similar to how Aronofsky used lesbian scenes to attract men to see a ballet movie, ok...I guess I get that, but from everything I have been reading that doesn't seem to be the case because apparently this isn't aimed at woman at all, and personally I don't think that's a good thing if Snyder has made this film only for guys. I don't care so much about the sexy outfits and such...they are a nice perk sure but I can find the same stuff in porn and if I want something to masturbate to I'll watch that instead, cause you know this is PG-13 so there's no nudity anyways. Personally I was hoping that this would be a smart blockbuster like Inception and not just style and visuals with no substance. It seems not though, if critics have any sense. :-(

hahaha i agree I am actually interested in seeing this because the visualls look amazing, and the action sequences as well. IM not interested in the girls actually. But answering your questions....a friend of mine wants to see it. actually Im thinking of going with her, she asked me and we will soon :)

Critics bashed Battle: LA, but the general public seemed to like it. Probably same with this.
