New moon

K i don't really care that this has nothing to do with HP but i saw new moon tonight and it was so good!!!
I've read all the books and now and LOVEthe whole series!
And when jacob took his top off everyone whistled haha! (me being one of them....!)
Has anyone else seen the films/ read the books?

    I read the books........not a big fan of the books..........only read it cause one of my best friends was reading it............she loves it........I think that the Twilight series is just boring.........too much unneeded drama..........the characters put themselves in the stupidest situations..............it can all be avoided.......

    I went to see New Moon over the weekend..........it was so slow I almost fell asleep..........it is not an enjoyable movie..........well not for guys anyways.........girls just love the guys taking off their shirts in the movies thats all...............but to me........acting was horrible........storyline.......almost made me throw up cause it sucked that bad................I thought that they were gonna change things and put some fighting or action into it to wake everyone up..........but nope.......all the action you see in the trailer is all the action in the movie.........the books were slow........and so is the movie.........

    im sad that new moon beat harry potter in $ made from the box office. BUT DEATLHY HALLOWS WILL DESTROY ECLIPSE AND BREAKING DAWN!

    Do you reckon deathly hallows will? It will be interesting to see, i think new moon has reached fever pitch! I think their ace all the books and the films, and i DO think there more popular with pattinson in!!!!

    Well Im pissed Newmoon beat HBP but it hasnt beat it by world wide opening of the first weekend.HBP is number one with 394 million worldwide.Deathly hallows will definitely beat twilight though.I will pre order my tickets and Ill see it as many times as I can!By the way I havent seen Newmoon so I dont know how good it is but I know its not better than HBP.Newmoon has bad reviews but HBP had good ones.

    I nticed that alot of people have givn it bad reviews... although i don't know why!? They didn't change anything and i thought it was really good!

    I can't wait for deathly hallows, i think the harry potter flms have gotten better and better.

    Saw New Moon, and it was horrible. Acting was a joke, the movie moved so slow that I almost fell asleep, I would have too but since movie ticket prices have gone up, I forced myself to stay awake. I never liked the books, read them to see what the hype was, and nowhere near as good as Harry Potter. The twilight series is just a mess, a simple storyline that is stretched as much as it could be with too much drama and the characters are really stupid too in the books just as in the movies. It may have done well opening weekend, but that's all its got, it will not even come close to HP. HP has a way better story and it is told so much better than the Twilight series on film and on paper.

    well i see all your points but hbp is good and the new moon book is really good(i haveny seen the movie yet) but every movie and book has a flaw so just don't think that just because you like harry potter it don't meen that you have to hate twilight i love them both

    Harry Potter is original and Twilight isnt!Its like a soap opera really.Im praying it doesnt get as much as HBP!It doesnt deserve it!

    Twlight is original, like Ben said you CAN like both.
    Ive noticed that if you like HP you cant like twilight aswell? i love them both! And obviously there's gonna be drama, just like in HP, something needs to happento give it a story

    Well, like its been said over and over, Twilight does not have a very good story line, not much happens. Everything just gets dragged out and alot of stupid drama that can be avoided. HP was something that could not have been avoided, and its more than just a story, a new world was practically made, and its about friendship, love, good vs evil, the choices that HP makes is selfless, also has humor and is very suspenseful. Twilight series, nothing really happens, they just put themselves in really stupid situations over and over again.

    You can be a fan of both, I choose HP because Twilights lack good storytelling and it has too much overdramatic soap opera situations. I would've liked the Twilight series, had something actually happened instead of the characters putting themselves into stupid situations. IMO Twilight series is horrible if you compare it to HP, good against other series, but not even close when compared to HP.

    I dont think thye put themselves in stupid siuations, i thought it was a really good book about love, friendship, basically a new way of life for bella in the last book!

    I don't really compare HP to twilight cos... there nowhere near the same, both seperate books.

    Allright i saw that stupid movie and I know meyer cant make a great story,its just stupid!At least Rowling was awake when she created HARRY POTTER, Meyer was sleeping so thats why her stories are crappy,she dreams them!If this was a dream it should have stayed a dream!

    I've read the Twilight saga & the Harry Potter series, personally I think both are fantastic but the New Moon film was a bit of a let down for me

    The books aren't complex at all. They had barely a plot,it had to much unrealistic drama, and the characters are not smart. The movies are badly made. The acting is bad and the lighting, makeup, and design of the movies are awkward. The only reason some people saw it was because of Taylor Lautner. He's just an actor. He isn't some character come to life. As compared to Harry Potter the books are complex. There are multiple plots and underlying themes. There is still love and friendship in it, and not nearly as much drama. The actors can act, still cute, and the movies are good. People see Harry Potter because the books are good and they want to see how the movie will be. People see twilight because of shirtless guys. Twilight and Harry Potter aren't even in the same category.

    I'm facinated by Twilight... I love it. I think it is soo successful because my being a girl, I can relate to Bella. I love Bella's character so much. And I think a lot of people feel the same way... I think the storyline lends itself more to a female audience though...

    & you can't expect it to be as complex as HP... Didn't HP take J.K.R 7 years to think up??? I mean S Meyer had a dream, would have expanded upon it & had her book written & on shelfs in little time...

    I LOVE them both... HP is the ultimate in looking for clues though... so well written. All of these subtle clues hidden in the books. Fun things like that... X
