LC I think that the King's Speech will sweep. It may even take the Oscars for Best Costume Design, Score and Art Direction. It seems that the Academy really loves it. Well, it's a beautiful film, but I think that TKS will go down in cinema history as an 'overrated' film.

Anyway, this year has been good, right? We had many good films. I don't think we had any masterpiece, but there were plenty of films that were really good (COUGH 2009 COUGH).
Ew, 2009 was so terrible I don't even want to think about it.
  • blackvenomblackvenom Posts: 3,257
Well, you know that I disagree with you about Inception :-P But Nolan deserved a freaking Best Director nomination. And the film had terrific Editing. Whatever...:/

It's a pity that beautiful films like Blue Valentine and Another Year weren't recognized as much as they should have.

Come on, I disagree about Inception too. The Social Network, Black Swan an The King's Speech are, IMO, far better.

Wait! Where's 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'? I don't see it on that list!! lol

IMDb ratings don't really mean anything. But I agree. Neither TKS nor TSN are the best films of the year. But, they are very good films. Remember Crash in 2006? Oh boy, what was that? Worst Best Picture winner ever.
