Ariana's Death
Who do you think shot the curse that killed Ariana? Do you think it was Grindelwald? Aberforth? Or Albus?
I can envision it in my head, First Aberforth and Albus get into an argument. Gellert butts in and tells off Aberforth for being too young. Aberforth loses it and goes for Gellert. Aberforth has the cruciatus curse put on him by Gellert. Albus stops Gellert, Aberforth draws his wand and they duel, Albus tries to stop them both, wand drawn too.
Ariana comes in cause Aberforth was in trouble, she wanted to help but couldn't control her magic. She becomes a danger to them all. She had lost control and had already killed their mother. And now she was beyond help, they would all die. Avada Kadavera curses were flying in all directions from Gellert and Aberforth trying to kill eachother. Soon Ariana would set off an explosion and they would all die.
Albus, knows what must be done. And he sends the curse that would kill Ariana to save the three of them. It was either that, or they all die. She dies and the fight stops, Gellert flees thinkin he might've done it. Aberforth cradles her lifeless body thinkin it was he who sent the curse. Albus stands there realizing what he had just done. And every day Albus lives in regret of what he had to do. After all, the fight broke out because of his involvement with Gindelwald and the quest for the Hallows. Albus' youthful ambition was his mistake.
Albus killed Ariana. But because he had to to stop her from killing them all. Thats what I think happened!

He wasn't 100% sure his spell was the one that hit her, cause after all, Aberforth and Gellert had their killing curses flying in all directions. But his (Albus') was meant to hit her, while Gellert was aiming for Aberforth and Aberforth for Gellert. And so he put all the blame on himself.

I believe JK Rowling never tells who did it so it leaves us guessing, and also so that it leaves Albus as being pure and good.

Like I was saying in my version and the more likely version to be right...........I told you all........Grindelwald was sexing it up with Arriana.........hence the screaming.......Grendelwald must've been hard, probably even used a wizards version of viagra and ripping that a$$........

No one really knows what happened, you read Rita Skeeter's version, you see the story from Aberforth's view and then you found out what Dumbledore felt and had to say on the very depressing matter. And for the 1st time, I believe, correct me if I am wrong here, but for the first time Dumbledore opens up to someone(Harry) about a burden that he was bearing for so long, not only that but he even mentioned his failure and mistakes to Harry. He blamed himself for his sisters death and he blamed himself for not stopping Gellert Grindelwald from becoming a madd dark wizard, those that Grindelwald killed during his reign as a dark wizard, Dumbledore probably blamed himself for that too. And I know he probably put the blame on himself for not destroying Voldemort.
I love how JK Rowling leaves Ariana's death a mystery, sure keeps us interested. Thanks for your opinion and version lupinshowl, but it was more than a rated r version, maybe even more than a xxx version, lets just say that it was an unrated version. Sick and perverted, but that can be your version and I would appreciate it if you would please keep that version to yourself.
