It was reported recently that, following his run on Broadway with How to Succeed, Daniel will be portraying an LGBT character. Now, courtesy of Twitchfilm, more details have come to light on that project, establishing Dan's role as none other than the highly controversial (for his time) poet, Allen Ginsberg:

Sources tell Twitch that once Radcliffe wraps up his Broadway run in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying he will move on to Kill Your Darlings with writer-director John Krokidas.

A thriller based on actual events, Kill Your Darlings revolves around the relationship between Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and Lucien Carr. Carr, for his part, is credited for connecting Ginsberg, Kerouac and William S Burroughs but, most notoriously, served time for the 1944 murder of his lover David Kammerer.

While Daniel does not look completely like Ginsberg, they do share certain similarities in feature. With some make-up, I could see Dan bearing enough of a passing resemblance. Of course, what compensates for that is the ability of an actor to inhabit the personality of the character, which I could see Dan doing given his other connections to Ginsberg.

The film premiered at Sundance with some early good reaction. Daniel and Dane DeHaan are getting praise for their performances; most of the buzz about the film is about their explicit sex scenes.

The films sounds it could be rated NC-17, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's toned down to get the commercial R rating when it's released
