Guys... guys.

I don't know how but it manages to get better every time I watch it. I don't even mind the absence of a proper Great Hall battle because the way the film flows during the all-out war at the end kind of actually warrants how its edited. It's almost like the climax of Revenge of the Sith where the Anakin and Obi-Wan battle breaks away to Yoda vs. Palpatine for a few bits.

Anyway I think my one nitpick is that there should have been SOMETHING between Voldemort's death and Harry walking through the Great Hall. Though I don't really know what. Which is kind of why I call it a nitpick rather than a full-on flaw.

Amazing film. Best Harry Potter by a country mile especially when connected to Part 1.

Also the epilogue bothers me. But not in a bad way. It's just... I feel like when I started watching the film routinely when it arrives properly on home video, like I do all the others, I feel like I'll always just either stop it or set it back to the beginning right after they hold hands on the bridge. The epilogue haunts me. It takes me back 10 years or more. All the little details, nuances, children experiencing Platform 9.75 like what we saw in the original... it's beautiful and warm but also very nostalgic, sad, and... final. It feels very final. A huge sense of finality. And it disturbs me. Which means that they nailed it, but it really does get under my skin. I feel so uncomfortable when I watch it, it just puts a lump in my throat, a heavy feeling in my chest.

I feel like when I watch the epilogue, I feel like... this may sound weird, but almost like a ghost looking into my own past or something. Do you guys feel that as well? I know it sounds crazy, it's just such a freakish vibe.

    Couldn't agree more, Darth.
    Just like OOTP, Deathly Hallows
    Part 2 is a "grower".

    I've been watching the DVDRip
for the last few days, and all
I can say is that the film is
    almost perfect.

Yes, there are flaws, but my
undying love for this film trumps
over each and every one of them.

I seriously can't wait to own it
    on Blu-Ray.

Does anyone have the link to download the film?? I've only seen it twice, when it was at theaters, I have to see it more.

The way I see it, no film is technically perfect aside from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I don't have one single, solitary nitpick about that film. Acting is great, editing is perfection, music is iconic and and deep, it has some of the best action sequences STILL, great story, memorable characters, not one single bad line of dialogue... it's literally something else.

But I have seen a few films nearly match it in perfection, and Part 2 is one of them.

    Whenever I watch
    the epilogue, I get
    transported back
    to this era:

Couldn't agree more. We should've gotten a long, soothing follow-up shot to Voldemort's disintegration into the air of Harry collapsed on the ground during the sunrise, lying on the broken remains of the courtyard, heavily drinking in the feeling of freedom and victory, at the same time broken...with Desplat conjuring up some emotional piece in the background. Then it should've faded to black, and faded into the Great Hall or something, I don't know. Still, what we got was fantastic.

Two couples went on an Algarve Golf holiday together, and one day the two men went out to play a round, while the girls stayed in the villa.

After a while, Bob's wife begins to get a little worried because her husband has not returned from the golf game.

As the hours pass she becomes more and more concerned until, at 8 p.m., her husband finally staggers up the road.

"What happened?" asked the wife. "You should have been back hours ago!"

"Mike had a heart attack at the third hole," replied the husband.

"Oh, that's terrible," said the wife.

"I know," the husband answered. "All day long it was, hit the ball, drag Mike, hit the ball, drag Mike . . . "

That's my only nitpick as well. Would have liked if they kept the scene of him walking back towards the entrance hall with most of the remaining fighters looking back at him, but I guess there was something that didn't flow well.

I will never forget when the Epilogue went off the audience was quiet for like 30 seconds and all of a sudden they started clapping like crazy.
This is what a wasted moment looks like.

Me neither. I got really emotional :D

I never got emotional at all, but most of the audience did. They were laughing during the most random parts, and at other parts only a Potter fan would laugh, like when Ron's gut was revealed in the epilogue. But we still cheered when the credits rolled.

  • Downloading movies of HP isn't cool except if you want an image of something.
I can live with extended versions. But the normal you can get it in the shop.

Same type of bozos that would laugh during Paranormal Activity.
