what if during courtyard apocalypse the trio was forced into the great hall for a little by a giant or spider or fire or something, we would see the weasleys duelng and it would make for a more intense, gritty style with close quartered dueling and character moments. Then the trio would go outside and then the scene we all know and love would follow.

Well, I still believe that there's something cut between the trio leaving the Room of Requirements and then arriving to the Great Hall.
