From the smile plastered on my face during the opening montage to the disbelief that swept over me as Chapter 2 began to the middle of the night text message I shot a friend about a relationship reveal, I couldn't stop loving this touching, beautiful, fun and engaging game. From the moment the music swells on the title screen to the moment the credits roll, Uncharted 3 is a masterpiece.

Never been a fan of the Uncharted games -- I don't deny their pleasures for what they try to accomplish, but the gameplay simply is not my cup of tea -- and the hype machine is not new for this series. Honestly, a 10/10 from IGN is meaningless - the more measured 8/10 Eurogamer review is infinitely more well-written and thoughtful. Might rent this eventually.

Gameplay is fantastic, especially on harder difficulties. The Eurogamer review is fucking stupid, they slight it for being "linear" when it's designed to be almost like a stage-based platformer of the older days of gaming. Just because it doesn't have an open world doesn't mean that it's bad.

BF is not a singleplayer series, so most people don't care about the singleplayer. 99% buy it for the multiplayer.

I just think that if they're going to include a single-player story that it should be just as top-notch. For example I'm not the biggest FPS person, I LIKE them, but I would never buy a game JUST for the online. They're $60. If it has a story and MP, both better be in tip-top shape. Uncharted 3 has FANTASTIC MP, I've been playing it for the last month and it's wonderful, but the single player is going to be phenomenal as well.
