Which Movie should I play at my Halloween party?

So I'm having a Halloween Party this year, but I really trust your guys' judgement on films much more than my friends (because a lot of them have horrid taste in movies). So I'm not much of a horror guy, most of these I haven't seen, but I looked up some 'top horror movie' lists and generally, these were always around the top. I'd like your opinion, I've only completely seen The Shining and The Silence of the Lambs from these.

These are the exact two movies I was going to recommend. Two wonderful psychological thrillers that never get old. But Psycho is a class is and then Halloween is very very fitting haha. If it was me, I'd go with the shining.

Silence of the Lambs isn't a horror film, but a cop drama/thriller. I'd go with Halloween, going by your list. I'd personally show Trick r' Treat. It's one hell of a rocking time.

The Saw movies aren't bad, but they typically go for a more gore element. Im gonna tick people off by saying this but personally Id rather watch a mental thriller than blood and guts. Id rather be scared than grossed out. lol

It was! it was! I didn't like the others because instead of me actually being scared I was just grossed out more with each new movie lol.

yea there pretty gross but the first was the best as is the case with any franchise the sequels never live up to the predecessors

From that list I'd definitely have to say Psycho but you could also watch a great foreign film called "Les Diaboliques" which is considered to have been an inspiration for Psycho and "the greatest film Hitchcock never made". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046911/
