I think you can register with that mail, but given the amount of mails they still need to send to the beta testers, I highly doubt whether they will manage to make Pottermore "open to all" from October the first. And what is the guarantee that the site won't crash on the first day when millions of people try to create their account or log in. You can have my account and return it back to me when you get your own mail( or keep it as you wish). Whatsay?
