The only thing we know is that CoS comes out early-mid 2012. There is no guarantee of there being one every year. (unless they said something I'm not aware of...)

If Pottermore doesn't end till 2017, I will be 29 years old... that's practically an adult. I hope they release a new year like every 6 months, rather than every year, or it'll get boring!
It might be the way it was on this site I used to be on... Every august we got sorted, after the House Cup was awarded, and it was simply a new year. It didn't change your year.

I thought this thread was going to be someone confessing how scared they were that they were going to die before all the HP books and then films came out and now they had some new fear about 2017. Because that was me. Really scared to die without seeing Harry off. Ah, to be a dork :-D
Well, okay, that part is true lol..it's nice to not have responsibilities. BUT life is an adventure and part of growing up is living out that adventure. You find what you want to do in life and it's so fullfilling. You fall in love and it is the most AMAZING thing in the world. And then comes making a life with your love and then maybe having children or traveling and just enjoying each other. Of course it's not always happy times, but it is amazing and so worth it :X
Plus, if you do decide to have kids, you get to help them shape their childhood and help them make their fond memories of things they'll be looking back on someday.
I can assure you all that life and love for Harry Potter does not end at 30. I'm very nearly 50 and looking forward to the Pottermore experience for however long it lasts.
Well .. I don´t think it will be like 1 book per year , because we will get '' Chamber of chat '' next year on feb , which means , it is like 6 months between the release of every book
Anyway , you will be able to explore the books whenever you want , which means , we will not be the older students :P

Id be 21 , can't imagine myself that old .. I don't understand the year system .. In the first School year we need to wait a year in the meantime we must be boored with lame potions and weak spells?..
lol it's only one year from now ) so 20>21 isn't a big time leap I'd be 19 ;o
also, I doubt we're going to have that year system, it's not like we can actually learn that stuff anyway.. so it would be just a way to categorize the users
