For once and for all! DH2 is a great movie! + opinion after seeing it the second time.
For once and for all! DH2 is a great movie! It has its flaws yes, but which movie doesn't?!
Yes, you don't see that much of the battle itself (like 5 minutes of the 'real' battle, the courtyard scene and the beginning of the battle, before the forbidden forest scenes) but meanwhile you see other action scenes like the RoR-scene or the CoS-scene(it's not fully an action scene, but still a very good scene). Before that you have a good gringotts scene(wonderfuly acted by Helena) and after the procession you have like 7 or 8 minutes of action. In total you see like 8 minutes of destruction and 'real' war(the 5 minutes, clock tower, bridge scene,...).
All the technical stuff(visual effects, soundtrack, cinematography) is outstanding. The acting is very good. But yes, some actors didn't have much to do (emma and Helena). I would have liked to see more Bellatrix and Tonks but overall the characters were well used.
I liked how Bellatrix and Voldemort died. It was so symbolic. Especially Bellatrix's dead. She was a woman with a stone heart. Molly made some sort of a 'statue' from her and then blasted her to pieces. Just what Bellatrix deserved. Voldemort ripped his soul in so many pieces that it is quite realistic for hem to 'vanish'. Every piece was destroyed, then his powers turned against him, then he became ashes and dissapeared. Also well deserved for Voldemort.
So stop complaining! I saw the movie once but i'm sure i will like it even better the second time i see it.

I say again - it's not about mindless explosions, it's about seeing all these characters pitted in a battle for their lives after so long building up to it. And incidentally, if you'd expected it to be like the book, you would have expected us to see practically every character get their moment in the battle, and for us to see Fred's death onscreen. Just saying. I mean, there is a whole chapter in the book of Harry running through the battle and fighting in all these locations as he tries to find Voldemort. And that isn't even the chapter entitled "The Battle of Hogwarts", where he also does some fighting in the battle. I think people are just trying to downplay the battle in the book now, like happened with HBP too.
Really, I don't see why it bothers you that people might not like certain things. Nobody has said the movie will be atrocious because of this. Just that certain parts might not live up to expectation, an expectation Yates and co are certainly guilty of talking up.
you sound like the idiot one here, after all you didnt get what i mean.
who saw the movie, ok, thats their opinion...
now who is full on negativity without having watched it days before the release = doesnt deserve to be considered a fan
you need to keep in mind that this negativity is contagious, if a few say that they were disappointed, if the ones that have not watched it start to spread negativity, it will look like its the worst thing ever imo.
negativity is way easier to spread than positivity, doing this you are harming your own fandom without even having certain if its really bad.
anyways thats basically this: once you spread negativity without having watched it, you are ruining it for the fandom, so yeah, you dont deserve to be considered a Harry Potter Fan.
As for you, Jeanne, the only reason you would be affected by my opinion is if your opinion isn't strong enough in the first place. It's not my fault if I express a negative opinion that dampens your positivity, I don't go out of my way to bring people down. If they are brought down it is their own fault for being too easy to sway and lacking solid opinions.
EDIT - and Accio, I'm sorry that people just want positivity, but it's like life and death isn't it? You can't have one without the other. Only being positive is just as narrow as just being negative. Opinions differ, people shouldn't be intimidated into hiding their opinions purely on the basis of being scared people won't agree.
You said what I was thinking. Don't be sorry :-)
1). On a scale from 1-to-10
2). How long was the Battle in total?
3). Was Gringotts amazing? Describe it in depth!
My answers:
1) 8,5 at the moment, will probaly be 9 or 9,5 tomorrow.
2)You have like 15 minutes of "real battle" (including the beginning with the statues and chield; the preparation for the battle; the beginning of the war itself; courtyard apocalyps: bridge destructing; the destruction of clocktower and other parts of hogwarts like the quidditch pitch, the great hall scene with the dead bodies, Minerva vs. severus) You also have like 8 minutes of the final battle (with Molly vs; Bellatrix, Nagini's death,Voldemort vs. Harry). The scenes i didn't include in the "real battle" are: RoR-scene (5 minutes), Cos scene (2 minutes), Snape's dead (1,5 minutes), Harry and the grey lady(2,5 minutes), Hermione&Ron searching on the Marauder's Map (30 seconds).
3)Gringotts was amazin, It's to much to describe so i will only describe the action part: The trio jumps on the dragon, Hermione releases it, they fly to the surface, you see goblins working when they hear noises, they look like "what the hell?!" then a few seconds later they give a "whatever!" look, they continue working and then the whole thing repeats itself but now just after their "what the hell?!" faces, the dragon burst trough the floor and hell breaks lose. Goblings and gaurds start running, the dragon spits fire, more panic, they fly throug the glass dome but first the dragon let's drop a chandelier. Then they fly away over london (which is so beautiful, you can see the london eye and stuff!)
