It's underwhelming, i know. I somehow knew once all those fake descriptions and unfortunate real runtimes came through. How long is it? I know it isn't two hours, but still!
Definitly, the scene where he finds Lily is heartbreacking. I wasn't crying but it made the whole theatre emotional. It would be a shame if he wouldn't be nominated.
Could be, the movie is so fast paced that everything felt like a minute, while in reality the Prince's story was around 5 minutes long. BUt i can tell you, the Prince's story isn't rushed.
Give me a hint, but don't spoil it for me. In lilystheme's sig, a certain one word line is displayed... i think you know where i'm going with this, does he or does he not?!

I'm guessing that it is the only thing that didn't feel rushed.
I've heard from various sources that the final confrontation is between 5 to 8 minutes long, is this true? Though, i do doubt it very much, even asking you now!
I found the Prince's tale rushed. Actually, not rushed but weirdly edited. It started and ended with great scenes and great pace, but the middle section was a mess of too many quick flashbacks, ink effects and voiceovers. BUT, Rickman was phenomenal in his Godric's Hollow scene, as well as when he dies. Deserves a nod, yes.
The film was 119 minutes long, I think. Without end credits.

I can't answer this one. That bit was quite chaotic. The bellatrix vs molly scene was a bit rushed. But everyone liked the fact that she was blasted to pieces. When Nagini got decapitated, i thought "OKay....". That bit was so weird. Neville doesn't kill her upside-down. But totally the opposite. That's the reason it felt weird.

Yeah i aggree, the Prince's tale wasn't rushed but it was indeed a bit weird edited. You saw scenes in pieces. Not in full form.
They were lots better than the Part 1 flashbacks! Thank god. But they overused these ink Pensieve effects, it was distracting and took away all the emotion, I think.
I know, lol. It went by so fast! It was like they wanted to end the film as soon as possible! Remember people saying that Part 1 was too slow? Well, Part 2 is too fast!
Oh, and venom, one more thing... you say that the film without credits is 119 minutes long, right? Well, i just wanted to ask if you are someone in a different country to me who has slower pacing, like, for instance... in the US, they get a 136 minutes long version and i get 130 minutes in the UK!
It is, yes. It's between 118 and 119 minutes. Well, they could have added 10-15 minutes to make the Elder Wand storyline flow better, to expand the battle a little and to make Snape's memories less 'choppy' as well.
I blame Yates and Heyman who wanted to make the film so fast-paced. There were many good moments, the editing flowed well. But it could have been improved.
I personally think that Heyman and Kloves in particular have been influenced and swayed in a bad way by Yates style, Day was already with him on that end, so...
I think it would have worked to see the four of them and then pan up to see Hogwarts. They have done that with the other movies though, like GOF and OOTP. They panned away from the trio. I think that would have been okay. I'm not really complaining though. I said I do like the idea of the shot they do have.
I think I'm a little disappointed that they don't show Hogwarts as the last shot, but I do like the sound of seeing the four of them as it ends.
As long as the final part at Hogwarts is shown with an amazing last shot of it, then i'm fine. But if they don't have one final glimpse... then it just about proves how much disrespect has been shown.

Lord Stafford.
Hogwarts has one last beautiful shot when the trio is on the bridge.

I do agree with that, about seeing a nice shot of Hogwarts before the epilogue. But I also think that it ending on the trio is okay, because it was Harry's journey, so seeing him last works fine for me too.

They wouldn't have been able to pan up from the Platform to Hogwarts, as it is no where near there. Unless we've come about the sudden revelation and realisation that it indeed invisible and is in fact... right by the Platform, and the long train journey is imagined after being put under a spell.

Put it this way... music has to be playing, otherwise i'll walk out. I don't want a silent last moment, a silent last scene.

Excellent!
Actually, when i am reviewing it in my mind now i have to say it is a very good film.

Oh, I know. I just meant that the camera did go up and away from the trio as they were getting on the platform/train. And like in GOF when the camera left the trio and there's the shot of the lake and the mountains.

End credits: similar to Part 1's. They were bronje.
Philosopher's Stone score is playing during the end credits.
