Vance, do you think that the forest scene we saw in the MTV sneak peak is possibly the beginning of the final trailer? Because, I don't know, the way it was edited and with the music that was building up, I thought so.

I actually don't think that the MTV teaser was a very good trailer. They haven't yet had what i would consider a really good trailer for Part 2. I think the teaser with stuff from both parts was the best trailer so far.

Yes it wasn't a trailer. The second half of this sneak peak was the Ellen TV spot. We just saw it in better (still, not great..) quality. The first half is the whole 'meat' of the sneak peak. Though edited, the forest scene will be good in the film.

So Oclumencia told us that the double character posters are about to be released. Now that the trailer will probably debut next week, I think it's safe to say that we'll receive all double character posters, the theatrical poster and the final theatrical trailer in a period of roughly 10 days.

It was supposed to be a teaser though. I just don't think it was a very good one. I mean it was fine and i am not saying that means the film is going to suck. All i am saying is that it wasn't a great teaser.

Well, if I hadn't seen the entire second half of this sneak peak few weeks ago and everything was completely new, I'm sure that it would have been a great teaser. But we've seen everything already, so yes, that was disappointing.

Didn't they say few days ago that these double character posters (Harry/Hermione, Ron/Hermione, Neville/Bellatrix, Voldemort/Snape) are going to be released very soon?
I think that they'll be released in the next 10 days, right before the release of the trailer.

It just felt choppy at the beginning. I hope that isn't the finished product and i don't think it is. I know that everyone says there is going to be more dialogue, but we didn't really hear about a bunch of dialogue in this scene. And Harry doesn't speak to Voldemort. I think there might be a bit more where Bellatrix speaks when Harry comes into the forest and that is why Voldemort turns and not because he hears Harry walking.

I didn't witness anyone postulating the lack of a second trailer, I remember Jordyep and Nick mentioning something about if it doesn't come before x date then there won't be a second trailer, but that's all. It was obvious that the first trailer was only a teaser of sorts, to use that as the main trailer would have been a bad decision. I imagine the theatrical trailer will include more dialogue, will be story-oriented and also include a better look at the Battle of Hogwarts.

I could be one of the "doubters" that Vance is so concerned about. I don't think I ever flat out said that we wouldn't get one. Just more like 'if we really do get one'. I think I was more like Jake and I didn't want to just expect one, or hold my breath for one. But who cares?!! I am excited we're getting another one!

It's definitely edited, decarus. Look at Bellatrix. She is suddenly quite close to Potter and she's pointing her wand. Voldemort also turns to talk to her (?) or to the Death Eaters and I'm sure that there's more reaction from Hagrid (abrupt cut) and Harry probably does say something like "You're wrong. I'm here" to Voldemort. There are also some shots missing that we saw last year.
