It sounds like someone listened to that bit of the movie intensely and created their own rendition that is 99% the same on the computer... like that guy on Youtube that has made his own DH soundtrack.
I am curious to know what it is about the way it sounds that makes you think that?
I have worked around live orchestras for several years now and this sounds like recorded rather than created music to me.
Because it's... identical... to what is heard in the film?
That doesn't stop someone from creating it on the computer. People that play by ear can make something sound exactly like the original. To me, it just sounds rather computer generated. And I don't know how it would have been possible for someone to get their hands on this track.
Again, what about the way it sounds make you think this? I'd like to listen again knowing what you hear so I can analyze it that way.

I agree... The first part was made with a computer. From 1:13, it's the track itself !
To conclude, it's not a bonus track. Otherwise, it's nice to listen it
I played in orchestra for about the same amount of time. And yes, it's the same exact version that's in the film. In fact the film version itself sounds like synth. I'm not saying that it doesn't. I'm saying that it IS the same version of the track, whether it sounds like synth or not. Composers use synth all the time, including John Williams.
Yeah, either way its a beautiful piece of music. Not total downright sad music, like "Dumbledore's Farewell", but very effective. It kinds of gives you a feeling of something very innocent and pure coming to an end.
Yeah, but in a different way. I don't know. It might sound a little weird but the heavy chord progression in "Dumbledore's Farewell" makes you FEEL like something big and powerful has come to an end while this track gives you a feel like you've lost something very little and innocent..something very close to your heart.
I know its sad, I cried during this scene, which rarely happens.
At first it sounded like the beginning was created by an audio program to me as well, but then I listened to it in the movie. The reason it sounds wrong or like something is off to some of us is because the music's in the wrong key. The music in the film is in the key of E, whereas in the track it's in the key of F.
Nah, just, I keep repeating it over and over. It's factually in the film. There's no debate.
Calm down, i come in peace ! It is not against you.
The comment of Yoda is very relevant.... so i dont' need to explain, thanks ! The "melody" based on, very similar, but your track don't comes from this film.
Okay dudes. Think what you will. At any rate, just wanted to provide the full, unreleased track from Dobby's death and that's what I did. Think whatever you will of it, concerns me not.
And it's not impossible. People rip audio from DVD's all the time. In this case, it was pulled straight from the DVD and released as an MP3. The forum that I got it from, someone asked someone with ripping abilities to do this. And they did it. The audio was not touched up.
Again, it's ripped straight from the DVD. That's the best I can do or say.
I WILL say that the actual ripping process may have resulted in the sound being slightly warped. All I'm saying is that it was ripped from the DVD, and was not a fan creation. In the topic on another board I got it from, the person said that they just ripped it from the DVD. It was a request. I doubt they actually went through the trouble of actually learning the piece and playing it on some kind of synth device, and lying about it, and it would have been a heavy coincidence that the person ripping just also happened to have talent in that area.
It was definitely ripped from the DVD. Whatever happened to the sound in the first minute or so, I'm not sure, but it IS source material by Alexandre Desplat.
Btw, I'm listening to Desplat's score for Tree of Life right now and it's so peaceful and melancholic. I can't wait to hear his tracks from everything post-Snape's death in the film.
I just listened very intensely to the Hedwigs theme part for both movie and this track, and sorry I've had to change my mind. Sorry Darth, but in the track you posted I don't hear the fifth note of Hedwigs theme (E), the highest note of the theme, which is between the forth note (A) and the sixth note (D) that I do hear in the mix of the rip of the film I just watched on my PC while Dobby dies.
Thanks for the track none the less though!!! I'm gonna add it to my custom Deathly Hallows playlist which has all the bonus tracks and O' Children.
