I don't know why, I hardly even like the film, but I feel like this is just a really powerful, symbolic, and emotional ending.

What are some of you guys' favorites?

This is mine! Well, not particularly powerful, but sad. I can only find part 1, but if you've seen the film, you know how it ends (:

    Titanic.

The way they show old Rose walk out onto the back of the ship with her hair blowing and then see this like 90 year old woman stand on the railing of the ship and show us the locket which everyone has wanted throughout the entire film. Then she just tosses it in and her eyes get all bright. Then they show her in her bed with all of her photographs around her showing her doing all the things that she talked about wanting to do.

Then, of course, the scene where we get to see her reunited with everyone he died on the ship by the staircase. Great ending.

    Click Link

That is the best quality i could find quickly. There are other good endings but that was the one i could think of at the moment.

There's something about the way the kid calls after Batman that reminds me of a western, though I have no memory of seeing a western that ends like that.

No offense to anyone, but none of these will compare to the Epilogue. The Epilogue will be the most powerful film ending ever.

Sorry, but no, just no... Ron doesn't even speak, and apparently Draco isn't even shown, plus... it is only going to be 2 minutes long.

I have a thing for Toy Story 3's ending. Such a simple scene with such powerful meaning.
I know I cried like a baby at the theater.

I was 19 when i first saw Toy Story 3 in the theatres, and it still made me as sad when watching a film as i ever have done since Titanic.

Naturally, I love the ending of Braveheart :p And also the end of Return of the King

My vote will have to go to Return of the King also! Oh, did I cry....

Most feel-good ending has to go to Star Wars: A New Hope when they get their medals at the end. LOVE the music!

As for the Epilogue, don't despair, Stafford! That was just the Epilogue that the test screeners saw. They might put Draco back in and give Ron a line or two....

I don't know about powerful *endings* but theres no doubt the 'Princes Tale' will be emotionally powerful.

"Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint continue their high caliber of performances as Harry, Ron, and Hermione from the first part of the film, but Alan Rickman (Snape) and Maggie Smith (McGonagall) really do steal the show. Snape gets to become a fully emotional character in this film, as evidenced via the phenomenal Prince's Tale memory sequence, slipped into the ranging and bloody battle for Hogwarts. Snape is a heartbroken shell of a man when Lily is killed, and we see every level of those emotions in Rickman's performance. The Prince's Tale scene is one of the best moments in the entire series, and stays with you long after you leave the theater"

    ***
"Yet, without a doubt, Alan Rickman’s Snape is the performance of the movie. The Prince’s Tale (aka Snape’s memories) is the most powerful part of the story. And they completely nailed it in the movie. I was so impressed. It’s the heart of the movie. It’s at that point when it hits you about how magical this story is. My eyes still burn with tears thinking about it."

I dont know if u guys have seen this film. It´s a short film for HBO starring our beloved Emma Thomson :P
I can only say she is priceless and sooo strong in the movie. It´s called WIT, and it features a dying woman. she has cancer. This is the conclusion of the movie, and i gotta say damn I was bowling so hard! Intense, a poerwful performance by Emma, and touching poetry, what else could you ask? :(

This one is the final scene of her alive. Its not the ending scene, but I want you to see her acting

Now this (the final scene) is heartbreaking :(

Well, I guess the entire Part 2 film could be counted as the powerful ending, and in that case, it would be the most powerful ending ever. But in terms of the very ending, I do think that there will be a bunch of other film endings that are better than it. Still, it will always have a special place in my heart!

Yeah the Epilogue won't be a 'mind-blowing' ending and it doesn't have to be. Just a short warm bittersweet scene that ends the entire saga nicely. I hope it's a simple and lovely scene.

Exactly, being blown away isn't something i've ever felt with a Potter film, only remotely with some of the other films on show.

Wrong. I never said anything about emotion with the epilogue, only mentioning it with Toy Story 3.

Thread title is Most Powerful film endings. Most of the time that means how emotional and touching it is, for you, without even watching it, think it will not accomplish that.
