WHAT: Paramount Pictures launches the trailer for this summer’s highly anticipated movie TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON exclusively on Apple. When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us. Sure, we're all mind-blown with the Part 2 trailer, but no surprise there.

I know this is a Potter site, but we all love film, and I know I'm not the only one looking forward to this despite how stupid the first two were.

Expect this trailer to kick so much ass in its own way-- I'm sure the effects and action is going to be spectacular.

Yes! If I only get to see two films in theaters this summer, these two are it! If I only get to see one, then it's Potter for sure. But we don't get out to the movies very often, so we're picky about which ones to see on the big screen. So these two have us the most excited lol

Well, half of it is boring as hell. The other half is indeed f'cking impressive, but you know what? I've seen variations of these action scenes in all previous TF films. Yeah the skyscraper falling was epic and the aerial shots of the city fight, as well, but as a whole, I'm not really blown away. Oh and this Rosie girl can't act. At all.

The good thing about Potter is that it'll be heavily promoted as the event of the year and everyone will be focused on Potter, so TF3 will lose a lot of its strength quite soon. While Potter only has Captain America, which doesn't seem promising and threatening at all.

To me 900 million is close enough that I would say its pushing a billion. That point is all a matter of personal perspective. ROTF made $850, was not received well and didn't do great overseas compared to HP.

Not terribly impressed to be honest. The effects look mind-blowing as usual, but that's the thing, Michael "usually" delivers amazing looking effects and carnage. It looks way better than the first and second movies, but it's just impossible to tell at this point. I know there's so much stupid shit that they're not showing in the trailers just like with the first two.

That said, I'm excited, it will definitely be the best one, but at this point I guess I'm just too damn cynical to believe that it will be awesome.

That's true. No one I know went to see the TF2 and no one I know has yet to say "i can't wait to check out the new TF film". In the US it definetly seems to have a bigger fanbase and is much more talked about and a bigger deal, but thats the impression i get. I don't know
HP is getting a lot of promotion over here, I think, the trailer came out and they were talking about it on the news! lol.

I think whether you like TF or not one should respect the VFX. I watched the first TF BTS stuff and remembered hearing something like one frame with several transformers in it takes 30+ hours to render because there were tens of thousands of individual cgi pieces. That means that there was a shit ton of shots in this film that took days to render to film.

That's insane. I can't imagine creating something with that many individual pieces. Incredible imo.
