None of the reports have managed to describe it very well. They have all been pretty garbled and confused. Some of them imply that Voldemort just disintegrates as soon as Nagini dies, which would suggest that the movie logic has been changed. So does he die because of his own rebounding curse or what?

I think that the disintegration wasn't finished. I think there was a card that says Voldemort disintegrates.

That is the worst idea I've ever heard. (Voldemort disintegrating after Nagini dies) And it should rebound, it proves that Harry is the true master of the Elder Wand. It is mentioned that Harry is the true master, but the talk with Harry and Voldemort at the end it cut. The final duel sounds EXCITING! I think that when their falling and they become "one" sounds interesting, but I'll have to actually see how it works out int the movie. I'm sure it will be cool.

Wormtail is important in that he leads Voldemort to the Potters, but he's not exactly a fleshed out character in the films, he's basically a doorstop. All I meant was that compared to other characters he's not a big deal.

The elder wand fies out of his hand, and goes to Harry, therefore causing the spell to rebound on him, and he's derezzed.

No.... when Nagini dies.... Harry and Voldemort are in the middle of that energy beam battle we see in the trailer.... Nagini dies, and the red over takes the green and BOOM!

The spell rebounds BECAUSE Harry's the true master, but he died BECAUSE all his horcruxes (including Nagini) are dead.

So that makes it seem like Voldemort dies because Nagini dies. I guess he still dies because Harry is shooting a spell at him. Then they explain it after the fact when the trio are by the bridge and Harry throws the elder wand off the bridge. Okay.

According to Leaky's podcast, Harry and Voldemort are in the same area when Nagini dies (around the courtyard into the Entrance Hall), which is why they see it occur. Voldemort "feels" her die because she's the last Horcrux remaining.

Makes perfect sense to me.

I thought Nagini dies right at the start of the 2nd battle? She lunges at Ron and Hermione and Neville decapitates her before she reaches them.

That's why in the behind the scene footage of people backing up into the Great Hall we see Neville with the sword, cause that's when it happens.

It's a momentary interruption. It's a good visual cue that the final Horcrux is dead, IMO. It's not like Voldemort and Harry are directly interrupted by Nagini - they remain separate.

Nagini chases Ron and Hermione,
Neville KILLS Nagini - and then
the FINAL DUEL starts in the
courtyard.
(That's why we see them retreating
into the Great Hall - Neville has
the sword with blood ALL OVER IT).
