Some more VERY detailed moments

'Opening

The usual foggy WB logo drops through the clouds to Dumbledores tomb, We see Voldemort steal the elder wand
We then see Hogwarts under complete Death eater control! Snape watching froma high window as students are
marched through the grounds.
Then the title as the camera rushes across the beach towards to shell cottage!

Snapes death

Could not have been more perfect

In a change to the novel the moment takes place in the boathouse at hogwarts!

The confrontation is perfect, menacing but soft! There is a moment were
it looks like a flicker of remorse comes over his face! But the power overcomes him and he triumphantly
screams before he dissappears in a cloud of smoke!
Snape stumbles backwards into a boat!
Harry boards the boat and retrieves the memories untying the boat and letting it drift off into the lake!

Theres a beautiful moment after Snapes story is shown and he is finally vindicated! It cuts back to the boat
gently and silently drifting into the mist on the lake! Its perfect!!

Final duel!
VERY different from the book but for the better! After revealing hes alive Harry throws them both
from a cliff. The apparate midair and end in a tower were the Elder wand exposition is revealed!
They battle around the castle firing spells!

Epilogue
The final moments of the film are 'really really' touching, showing Harry as a middle aged man, sending
his young children off to hogwarts for the first time! Beautifully shot we see several of the cast older
and its really poigniant! The final shot pans backwards, Harry touches his scar, ginny puts her hand
on his shoulder. We see the Four characters watch the Train disappear into the distance!'

Everything with Snape sounds absolutely amazing! I like the whole letting the boat drift off in the lake. It's going to be so emotional.

Yeah, he did... and i think he is lying again, because we all know that is what happens but he has probably copied it.

No he did not. He posted the right info, but Richard said it was fake as a part of the April Fool's prank.

Can i see it again, then? Because i want to be sure, you can usually tell when someone is lying, as they always leave clues about it!

Thank's alot! It remains to be seen, though, if any of that is true. I'm not going to deny it just yet, but i'm also not going to believe it just yet!

Have you seen the amount of complaints on here? - http://www.cosforums.com/showthread.php?t=127731 - its insane, and not for the first time, unfortunately... with good reason! :-(

Do you realize what people have seen right now is just a rough cut? The final product is going to be so much better. Have faith. If the movie fails to give me goosebumps and make me cry, I'll join you in the Yates-bashing. Thing is, I'm sure it will do both. The cast and crew has been at it for 10 years. And THIS is what they've been working for. This is it. There was a whole re-shoot plan just to correct a few angle shots. Yates and Co. want everything to be perfect. Its been a dream project for all of them. If you trust them, you'll know its going to turn out just fine.

For the last time... I'M NOT FREAKIN YATES BASHING! TO HELL, I'M NOT EVEN BASHING AT ALL!

Besides, judging by the first part of your post, you're assuming me and them to be talking about the quality effects and camera angles? Well, we're not... if you've noticed my posts, then you've certainly noticed there's (i hope) we're not bashing unless there is something to legitamately bash about, is it that hard for you guys to understand?

Because what they are saying in my previous link isn't a pile of trash, its actually the truth in most cases at the moment! Just, at least try and read through, think straight and see there point, one you can do that... you go a long way to finally undertstanding there point, and not just classing it as 'bashing'... i'm sorry if this sounds rude, but it isn't mean to be so.

Why can't they remember anything? :P
Even the description of the battle is really brief.
Though, I understand that. I mean, didn't they say that 80-90% of the battle was green screen? Jesus, I'd hate to watch such a rough cut of the film. And they may add more stuff as well.

What's really surprising me is that the film is so unfinished. It's April, after all. We've got three months ahead of us and they haven't finished more than 20-30% of the film?
  • blackvenomblackvenom Posts: 3,257
It must have been REALLY awkward watching the Battle. And imagine, they say it was hardly finished and some of them said it looked better than the LotR battles. LOL.

That isn't even the reason why i'm laughing, i'm laughing because people seem to think that Potter is as epic as LOTR, lol! :-))

Good thing Potter isn't trying to be more epic than LOTR. The battle can be epic in its own right, but its not about the epicness.

You clearly haven't seen what someone else put about the battle needing to be epic and more so than LOTR, then, have you?

It will be epic but it won't be on the same scale as Lord of the Rings, which is all about just how massively huge it is.

They were great and did faith to the book, and it was always intercut with something smaller and more personal, like Potter will be.

    @ greg

LOTR battles are exagerated? Really? Oh please, they use swords and arrows! We use wands (magic sticks) and Star Wars use lightning from their ass and lightsabers, lol! (shiny swords, though, admittably)

No its okay Staff. By bashing I meant criticizing, not pointless whining. I've been trying to see it from your point of view for the last couple of days, and I guess its okay to feel doubtful. But the only thing I'm saying is that you haven't seen the movie yet. You were quite negative about DH1 before it came out, if I remember correctly. The whole ball of light not being a doe and lots of other stuff. But then you saw the movie and a lot of your doubts were answered, weren't there?

Thing is, you're overreacting. Its okay to have doubts, but going all over the place shouting that the movie's going to be shitty is different. Just try and be a little more positive and wait for the movie to see how it turns out? It will still have its flaws, but then you'll at least be fighting over something solid, something you've seen with your own eyes, rather than creating an argument based on speculation and the word of test-screeners, who just saw a rough cut, and as you rightly say, have a bad memory and are rather confused.

If people aren't allowed to say that something sounds discouraging then you can't say that something sounds good either because guess what you haven't seen it either.

You made my point for me Richard. People should be able to say both things.
  • decarusdecarus Posts: 5,953 ✭✭✭
Why do people always say you can't say that you don't like something because you haven't scene the film? If they can say that then you can't say that is good because guess what you haven't seen the film.
  • RichardRichard Posts: 48,703 mod
Yes people can say what they want here.

But we're basing it on what we've seen from Yates and Co. Which is pretty damn awesome.

And its not about being allowed to do anything. I don't own this site, neither am I a moderator. I'm no-one to tell anyone what's allowed and what's not. I'm just asking Staff to try and be a little more positive and see what point me and a couple of other members on this forum are trying to make. Of course, he, or you, are free to ignore me and continue posting whatever you want to. Its a free forum, no rules.

I agree, you're right, but... i don't think i've called this film shitty, i wouldn't stoop that low without evidence, i just wish people would realise that there is a fine line between moaning and voicing your concerns, luckily you and a few other are doing so, and i'm not requesting you all agree with me, i'm just suggesting that you read what i've put clearly, and not just point out one bit to have a go at me with! Ok, guys?

Not when you say the film is ruined just because the left a few things out and changed how certain things happened.
