i think there are a few options
its either
Harry telling them hes leaving, either to the forest or snapes death, idk
The trio after seeing the bodies, ron races out to cry, hermione comforts him and this scene leads into Harry leaving feeling guilty

But honestly. idk, so share your thoughts!

In my opinion, it is one of the lastest scenes after Harry defeats Voldemort. That is why they are tired and Harry could be telling Hermione that the war ended and they win.

I dunno, but I know it'll break my heart.

I think it's right after the battle. Hermione is so emotional that Harry is alive she hugs him. Or they changed it and he tells them he has to die to save the wizarding world. That could also be the reason Ginny kisses him the way she does in the trailer.
theginny harry kiss happens during the evacuations

the shot of neville and ginny running up the stairs has to be either before the kiss or after it

    The kiss: Before the forest.
The hug: After Harry defeats Voldemort.

    This is my opinion.

Well if you think about it, it could play like this. All the kids are running down the stairs to the Great Hall, Ginny comes down and sees Harry. They kiss and Harry says good bye. Then after everyone is in the Great Hall, Ron and Hermione come down after defeating the horcrux and having there kiss in the Chamber of Secrets. Harry tells them his plan and they hug and say good bye. It could play like that.
Yes but I think that the last part has no sense. It is good for the movie but for the plot it is a bad idea. It is Harry´s decision. And I think that there is no coincidence between the Hermione´s reaction and what are you saying.

And nobody is there. Only the trio.

The second option makes much more sense I think.

It's definitely not after the battle. Something about the way the shot is composed and how the actors look tell me it's before Harry heads off into the woods.

The way I see it, there are 3 ~main~ theories:

    1. After Fred's death, but before the memories. Assuming this is it, Harry likely goes to the boathouse alone. I'd imagine it's after Ron and Hermione have a big emotional moment and they see Harry and they both go to him. This is probably where'd we see lines such as "we're with you to the end".

    2. After memories, before forest. They would probably do this because the audience couldn't see Harry's thoughts and it would be a way to convey them. Maybe Harry would be really ambigious about what he's gonna do. But if this is the case, I think it'd be real cool if they mirrored some of Hermione's dialogue from PS/SS when Harry goes to face Voldemort in that one. The only reason I don't like this one is because I too do not believe Ron and Hermione would let him go.

    3. After battle. R/Hr are by themselves and Harry goes to them to explain what happened, and they all hug from being so happy ande all that.

It's after Fred's death, most likely. Voldemort has just called a white flag for an hour to allow them to treat their dead and all. Harry is on his way back to the Great Hall when he sees Ron and Hermione on the stairs, holding hands, mourning Fred's death. He approaches them, hug, etc. Then, they continue into the Great Hall to find the dead bodies.

I don't know. That seems probable.

I'm 100% sure this is after Harry defeated Voldemort. There's no doubt in me. I know this is the quiet moment between the trio just before they head to the bridge, just before the final Harry Potter scene.

Look at Hermione's expression. It says everything. It is like "OMG, after all these years, after all the horrors, after all the deaths and everything, we did it. Voldemort is defeated." I'm sure it is very near to the end of the movie.

Exactly. I think the same. The trío have the typical faces and reactions after the battle. See Hermione´s face. Exhausted.

But Harry's jacket isn't ripped up and dirty as it is during the final battle.

Hermione doe look exhausted and devastated, but this may be because of Fred and others' deaths. I strongly believe this is after Snape's death/before Prince's Tale. Anyway, it looks great.

No idea, but maybe Voldemort has just said to hand over Harry. Hermione sees that he's considering it and says, "Don't even think about it" and he nods hesitantly, and then she goes to hug him??? Whatever the case, it does look like a AWESOME scene. Not sure, but it seems there's just a bit of despair in the look on their faces, which isn't right to be just after that final duel.

Hermione doesn't have the cuts on her face that she has in the shot of her and Ron in the second image of the sig above this post, so I don't think it's after Voldemort's death as well.
