Dissecting a ScreenCap

So I read earlier the concerns about a certain Goblin showing up at the end and giving Neville the sword. A particular screencap was the source of the speculation (sorry if this has been solved but there are so many threads about the new footage I don't have time to read through them all). With the HD screencaps I think we can debunk that rumor/worries.

Yeah, I just looked at it one more time, and it appears that person is in a Hogwarts uniform, so I guess it probably is not Percy after all. My first thought was Seamus (before Percy), but something in the face/hair wasn't quite right (maybe it was just the lighting), but I suppose it is Seamus. Even a bigger version just doesn't give us a great look at the face. I dunno, no biggie I guess! But yeah--I hope McGonagall is somewhere around there!

I certainly hope so! But if they are seeing Hagrid carrying in Harry's "body" at that time, then there's still a good bit to go before the final duel I guess (e.g. Molly-Bellatrix duel). I remember seeing the bts footage of them backing out of the courtyard and into the entrance hall, and Neville had the sword then; I wondered if Harry was telling them to get back because it had to be just him and Voldy.

Which begs the question: does anyone see the Sword in that picture? And are we positive that's the Sorting Hat? I think it is, but I'm not 100% sure. I sure hope so!

Edit: Never mind, I guess if they're just carrying Harry in, Neville wouldn't have pulled the Sword out yet. #:-s
But if that's the Hat, then I'm a happy camper to see that it's in!

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe he just saw it as he was battling through the castle and scooped it up for safe keeping? I hope Voldy will see it in his hand and decide to magically snatch it out of his hand, put it on his head and set it on fire! It was kind of random in the book that Voldemort just summoned it (after he declared there would be no more Sorting at Hogwarts), so I'll deal with it if it doesn't happen that way. So long as Neville ultimately gets that Sword out of the Hat as a true Gryffindor would in time of need!

I wish I knew! Can't wait to find out, and hopefully we will in the next month or so from test screenings. I fear they (unfortunately) could just as easily have Nagini start to attack him while he has the hat, just as the basilisk did Harry. Not a wise decision for any snake to attack a Gryffindor who is holding the Sorting Hat! But I just like for things to be like the book, so here's hoping! [-O<

I'm going to stay optimistic and say that he does have the hat burned on his head. Until we have something that tells us otherwise.

Having it burn on his head isn't that important though. Neville could pick it up from the ground, and Voldemort could go all "No more sorting at Hogwarts", do a flick with his want and the hat then burst into fire.

I do have a correction though. I think the girl behind Molly is a bit too fair skinned to be Padma.
I'm thinking it's Katie Bell, and that would make sense if she's next to Leanne, her best friend.
Also, if they're going by the book, I doubt Pansy would still be in Hogwarts at this point.

Right, and in the book Minerva sends her and the other Slitheryns out for going "THERE'S HARRY!!! THERE'S HARRY!!!! GET HIM!!!!" before the battle starts.
I assume she'd leave at that point in the film too, unless they don't have time.

Uhm I would say it's pretty obvious that they didn't want to fall on top of Brick and Mortar. It's likely that Yates and Eduardo Serra sort of planned out how everyone would die so that the students would be visible in addition to Brick and Mortar. You don't want dead kids hiding some of the more prominent characters. I mean imagine if Cho was lying on top of Mortar. Then you couldn't see Mortar's body.
