I guess this scene takes part in the first half of the battle. Remember that they built part of this wooden bridge in the forest we saw in the trailers with the wizards and Snatchers running to each other? I think that they've changes the Grounds a bit (AGAIN :P) and the confrontation with Scabior takes place probably right before the Snatchers invade the castle.


The new huge viaduct will be used in the film's final scene before the Epilogue. The Trio will walk on it and discuss what happened in the Battle. It will be amazing. Emotional and I can imagine the brilliant cinematography with all the destroyed towers and the landscapes around them

The bridge is also in the upcoming lego set(which also has Neville) I swear I read somewhere that the bridge would blow up as well.

And I *think* we have heard that some part of the Voldemort/Harry showdown takes place in a bridge. The one that can be seen in the teaser trailer, behind Voldemort

i really hopethat it goes like this

scabior and a couple snatchers vs neville and maybe seamus/dean or other D.A. members
during the fight the bridge starts to collapse leaving neville and scabior on it, then a small duel breaks out and neville casts some cool spell to break one of the supporters on the bridge, then we see a great show of him running while the bridge falls bit by bit leaving scabior screwed, then neville jumps off just in time and it goes down

I think some Death Eaters will fall off the bridge as a result of some of the fighting going on. That way there's still death, but it won'tr be Neville directly killing anyone.

i dont think itl be a direct kill, it MAY be like an accidental spell hitting the bridge and causing soe damage

good! i think the Hogwartians will destroy the bridge so that the snatchers cannot enter the hogwarts castle that's why the snatchers switched to the viaduct bridge to enter the castle.

i thought this was the only one. its been featured in like 3 of the movies

there are several bridges throughout the films though the one they have focused on the most is the Wooden Bridge that is on the backside of the castle that leads to Hagrid's and the owlery. DH part two they have added/expanded/moved a bridge (now called viaduct bridge) that doesn't connect the Great hall courtyard to another part of the castle anymore . . . it now connects to land and it's much larger.

Also in this photo you can see that small portion of the bridge set from the outside looking into the courtyard. You can see the same lights on the bridge.

There's the huge viaduct bridge which is made larger for the DH battle. That is the bridge in GOF that the Hungarian Horntail crashes into and falls.

Then there is the covered bridge which leads from the Entrance Courtyard into the Stone Circle down to Hagrid's Hut. This is featured more prominently in the films (GOF--Harry/Hermione talk, POA--Harry/Lupin talk, OOTP--Scene right before Grawp, etc.)

Then there is suspension bridge in the OOTP and HBP video games but not featured in the films.

I also think that the Viaduct Bridge will be destroyed but not completely. First, it's been expanded so much it will be gigantic. I am sure that big parts of this bridge will be destroyed in the film but not entirely so that the Trio will walk a bit on it in the end.

The Covered Bridge will be smashed, it'll be epic.

I think the bridge the trio will walk on will be the Hogwarts Express viaduct bridge. It gives a much better view of Hogwarts and David Yates said that the camera will pan up after they hold hands together. It should look something like this:
