i dont think the film makers will play up percy,s estrangement from his family because it was NEVER mentioned in previous films and to do so now would be a head scrather for non readers of the series

i can't see fred and george crying for joy though... they just make jokes in a meaningful way

It's possible that Fred's death may not be instantaneous, as it is in the book, and that they may have drawn it out a bit with him shedding a tear or two as he dies.

I was thinking about that the other day. I think it is very possible they could do something like that, to convey just a little bit more emotion between the two of them on screen.

Maybe they'll have Ron not be there for Fred's death and have him discover it later on when he sees all the bodies? I'm picturing something like that part in the extended edition of Return of the King where Eomer finds Eowyn on the battlefield and believes her to be dead.
