eventhough its a bad quality.we can have really good view. it was awesome. Richard:there is no point of being abstinent from it. u have read the book and even reviewed the test screeners and also u have seen 90% of the clips,so there is nothing to move away from. we have seen bits and pieces only, not the continuity like the one we have seen in 7 potters and malfoy manor. there is no use dude. i bet u cant control them nor anyone in that thread too dude.
there is no point of being abstinent from it.
But you know..it´s better to say in cinema- "Woow, such amazing scene" than "What a pity that I have already seen that. Nothing new for me"

I don't get that feeling. I watched most of the clips from HBP last year and found it a whole different experience when watching it in cinemas. But that may not be the same for others.
sorry... i've seen it... and i'm unsatisfied... 1. they're watching for 15 sec to the chandelier to understand that smth is happened...
2. there is two meters between harry&ron and narsicca&draco... it would be more easily to punch or to hurl something... i thought the will put out their eyes by these wands... it's like to shut from the tommy gun on the short distance... 3. and most awful scene - harry takes his wands and draco with obedience give its back to harry... i would poke him on the nose...
I hope it isn't a HUGE BATTLE... just a part... just poor part... It's conspicuous that film was shoot for 3d... as result - we have not neither one nor the other...
seamus : but if u haven't read the book, i would have agreed with your point .u know whats going to happen in the next scene when u r going to watch in theatres too. no point in hiding. u will know during the scene what is going to happen..that makes it spoilerish. u know silver doe is going to appear in a scene and we wont say "what an amazing scene ,unecpected" coz u have read the book, unless instead of a silver doe ,u see a silver dinosaur appears on the screen u wont feel like "WOW ,AMAZING,UNEXPECTED" . so u can see this. people who say like this will be the first one to watch. but its ur choice man ultimately.
@ tantrello : i agree with u...it s not the way i expected. but i feel like they have spoiled that scene where lucuis is trying to press the mark tat too very slowly.and harry escapes.
They were not staring for fifteen seconds. Rather, Bellatrix was looking up for a few seconds at the most in surprise, because who would have expected Dobby to arrive and command control over the situation?
Secondly, they are not attacking with fists because 1) Draco is clearly not into it and 2) why would a lady like Narcissa do that? They are hoping to disable their opponents efficiently with their wands, not bruise them.
Also, Draco was barely into it, hence why he was slow to respond. Same thing in the book.
There's nothing about the footage that screams 3D to me. Sorry, but you're way off the mark.
Same here, me too... Yates has never been very good at all with explaining this kid of fault (the Burrow attack for instance) and with big action set pieces (which supposedly the OOTP battle was, but it was in fact actually an epic fail, far too short and brief) but anyway, its a bit better though i don't like how they have incorporated comedy into the chandelier falling, its starting to get very lame indeed!
Yes jonny when i saw HBP i felt like ive seen everything so i was like eh...
rich : i have never read any books in hp except hp7. i watched HBP and i found it was good (if i had read the book i might have found that boring becoz i have read the book.) u have read the books and that makes it spoilerish, i found out when i read the 7th book, and thats y these people are releasing so many clips knowing that all of them have read the books.
The battle at the end of OotP was actually intended to be longer, but Yates had to cut out a lot of footage, such as Sirius dueling Bella, at WB's request. What remained was actually very, very effective, in my opinion. Yates was able to establish a clear, elegant choreographing for dueling with wands, and Dumbledore vs. Voldemort was just spectacularly filmed.
Also, how is it comedy? We only see Dobby dangling to establish that he's there and losing control of the object, which then falls with him to the floor. Is the screaming comedy? Wouldn't you scream if you were seemingly about to get crushed?
I can guarentee you that when you're in the cinema and me as well, that at least one person will laugh at that, plus i'm not talking about them... i'm talking about Dobby.
Also, i feel that even with the severe cuts that were made (i am not denying that) it still sure as hell in my mind was anticlixactical and did not live up to the hype that Yates created (saying that it was going to be epic, but it is not... LOTR's battles are) as well as the ending of HBP.
Oh, and if you look at the screencaps, Malfoy is clearly struggling as Harry attempts to take the wand, and looks utterly defeated when he fails to keep it. As in the book, his heart's not fully in the activities of a Death Eater.
Secondly, they are not attacking with fists because...
that's not the point))) i thoght there will be longer distance between them... it's flaring... and you're noticing this immediately...
Then that's their reaction. Personally, I think it would be rather rude to the other members in the audience, but to each their own.
I loved the battle at the end of OotP. Comparing it to the Lord of the Rings unfavorably is rather unfair because the scale of those battles are much larger than a duel between around a dozen Death Eaters and Order members. It's intended to feel more intimate. "Epic" doesn't always have to refer to large-scale, overblown battles.

I am really looking forward - especially - to this scene, I am curious about the cinematography, visualization, how Yates handled this scene and I really want to enjoy it DURING the movie, not like something I saw before. Everyone is excited to see something new and I want this scene will be something new for me- in cinema..

I don't see what's wrong with the distance. I like how they are closer, because it makes the danger feel more immediate and it's fiercer.
