Were you sad when Snape died?
I am reading book seven, and I just read the part where Voldemort kills Snape to take the elder wand, and all of the memory's flow out of him. I was actually pretty sad when it happened. What are your comments?

But 'Prince'sTale' was a chapter so emotional that made everything clear.
Poor Snape.
very sad
but then i realised that the only good think he had done was that he loved lilly...
that is not fair.a person with so much hate inside can't be recognised as a good character...
he hated potter and sirius and lupin so much that he couldn't see that he had become evil...that's my opinion.
It was painful to read him die.
U agree with me?
I had never of guessed that he loved Harry's mum! And it was sad when he said 'Look at me...'. I agree with AlonseR.
But I also agree with witless witch.
Also...I believe his "hatred" and bad reputation came from his hard childhood...He had the toughest part in the Order of the Phoenix: act a double agent, spending a bit of his time with the people he hates ( Voldemort and the Death eaters ), and helping the Order the best he could, thinking about Lilly and the only person he loved in his poor life...
Yes. In the end, his memory not only showed he didn't hate Harry, indeed, it made us think he loved him in a way he just didn't want to admit it...
I believe he would be #4 in my favorite characters list.
Btw,I think he didn't HATE Harry...My theory is-Snape loved Harry, but he sometimes were very arogant to him because he imaged on his dad (we know that Snape hates James, and we know why to)...I don't agree with Snape in that.Inside,Harry is more like Lilly.
I hope you understand what I want to say...
And.... when I read sixts book end, I was so angry over Snape, but when I read all true about Snape I was in shock! And when I was soo sad ...........................
All through the books one to seven I was fighting with myself.
Was Snape good or bad?
In the Half-Blood Prince, at the beginning, it really made me feel he was the bad guy and at the end of that book - Him killing Dumbledore strengthed my theory inside my head.
But at the end of the seventh book, when Voldemort kills Snape to claim the Elder Wand (Which he doesn't :]), I wasn't that sad.
But after the chapter 'The Prince's Tale' I was almost in tears - it was so sad!
Snape was brave.. I must admit, but he was only saving Harry because he was Lilly's son and he loved Lilly more than he had loved anything else.
I also agree with ronshouldofpickedme
That's why some people think(me included)that snapes last words were "look at me"because he wanted to look, for the last time, into lilly potter's eyes.
Snape did just want to look into Lilly Potter's eyes one more time.. and that made me so angry that I eventually started to cry again.
So, am I sad Snape died?
Well yes, and no.
Dumbledore said that Malfoy's sole was undamaged by blood and death, and then Snape said "What about my soul?"
It's really just because Snape has already killed - he was once a DeathEater and Dumbledore knew that it would not damage Snape as much as it would damage Draco.
i feel sorry for him cause all he really did was love lily and save harry
Imagine a link of chain-reacting bombs, you blow-up one, they all start to blow-up.
Snape has already blown up one of the bombs, and therefore, even though he isn't a toy or a robot, he wouldn't be damaged as much. Although Albus trusted and cared a bout Snape a lot, he was also concentrating on Harry, and teaching him about the Horcruxes.. so he wouldn't take it into account to seriously would he, the effect he was having on others?
Because, as Albus said in the first book, Death is yet but the next great adventure.. so he wouldn't really think it was a big issue him dieing. So he over-looked Snape, and the effect assisting his partial suicide.., and I guess he did treat him like a robot and a toy.. but you can't blame him really, can you?
The point of books are to evoke a feeling, and evoke a response in the reader. Can you really say that the Harry Potter books have never made you feel happy or sad over something that happened in them? Or any other feeling for that matter.
You don't have to CRY. Just, it's a little bit weird if you are a fan of the books and yet have no sort of emotional connection with them...
And nasty ginger shrew......... !?
I think it's good he named his children after people who have been so important in his life
And why is being a fan of a book stupid? That's a pretty immature comment to make. No offence.
