the imax website is saying that DH PART1 will have 147 minutes!!!!!!!!

what you guys think about that?

We are going to have 60-65% of the DH book in a 2:17min movie (+10min to credits)! Thats enough for me!

And in the second part, the battle sequence will be bigger than the one in the book, so DH part2 will probably have the same time as part1!

Together: 5 hours movie to THE DH BOOK!

I asked them when it was to be rated yesterday but they didn't really answer my question:

'Thank you for your enquiry.

We have not classified HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 1. It would be inappropriate for the BBFC to speculate on a possible rating for a film we have not seen.'

richard, HBP was 156 minutes to an ENTIRE book. DH is 147 for PART of the book.

If the runtime is indeed 147 minutes it means that we'll receive a 137-minute film without end credits.
I'm not exactly happy with that, because the film ends at Shell Cottage (pretty much 2/3 of the book). Does this mean that Part II will be only 2 hours?
But I am happy because this isn't an adaptation of the entire book.It's still longer than OotP and PoA.

As well as with OotP.First it was 142, then 126, then 115 and finally 138.

I checked my imax page and it still says 147 minutes. Are you sure, Lord Stafford?

From all runtimes the most logical one seems the 164-minute one which I hope is the real one.

But I have a feeling that the film will be either 147 or 150 minutes long.

10 minutes was not necessarily cut from the film after the test screenings. They said it was about 2.5 hours, not exactly.
