Nagini still looks fake
Why is Nagini still look like computerized in the Godric's Hollow shot below from the Scream Clip. I first saw this in the Part 1 Trailer but let it pass because I think they will be improving it. But now in the Scream clip, Nagini still looks fake. The movie is almost out and they haven't improve Nagini in that shot and made it similar to what Nagini look like in the Malfoy Manor Scene? they only changed the lighting. I like the effects of Nagini in the Malfoy Manor scene which looks cool and real but why can't they fix this one?

Great shots of Nagini in the Malfoy Manor

Dobby is much better than in CoS.One gets the impression that the CGI are not good because what he says seems out of sync. But the line 'I like her very much' takes place in another scene, so they just put it there 'dubbing' the creature at the tv spot scene. So no.He looks far more realistic.
Voldemort in Nurmengard is perfect. The scene is just put in rewind. That's why it looks weird.
Look at Malfoy Manor panning shot.In the main trailer the CGI looked weird because of the fast-forward shot. But in the spot it looks perfect because the camera moves very slowly towards the mansion.
in the nagini dinner shot
voldy looks really fake
At Malfoy Manor
Voldemort doesn't look fake. At all.
As for Nagini I think it doesn't look that bad and neither is Dobby, Dobby has a very human-ish body actually and he looks a lot less cartoony/fantasy-like while Nagini's GH shot is too brief for me to judge really.
And I love the look of Nagini.
TV Spots and trailer mess up with the dubbing, editing, lighting etc. of the scenes. A better example of the film will be the featurette, IMO.
Yeah i hope its not like that in the film....its not cool.
Yeah and they say the cinematography was good, yeah right.
yeap the dvd is darker lol
The cinematography in HBP was the best I've ever seen in a film.
She's CGI.
Next topic please...
Then why are there dark spots!?
ENOUGH SAID!
HBP Cinematography DESERVED
that Oscar, not FUCKING Avatar!
BTW, Cinematography is not
only the light and the dark of
the film, IT IS THE WAY THE
FILM WAS SHOT!
G.G.
No it did not.
Richard, you should
really go look for the
actual meaning of
cinematography.
You are saying pure
nonsense.
G.G.
I want GOOD 3D.
'Nuff said.
Not only was the only HP film to be nominated for an Oscar, but it was critically praised. It brought a totally different dimension to the series.Unique and artistic.HBP can be viewed as an art film because of the cinematography.
The Cave scene, for instance. Such brilliant tricks with black and white, almost monochromatic playing with light and darkness (moving sphere of light). Or the beautiful Sectumsempra and Room of Requirement scenes being almost monochromatic as well.
On the other hand, beautiful grays, browns and yellows and sepia colour schemes in scenes like the Burrow or Spinner's End. The very autumn feel of the landscapes around Hogwarts giving a nostalgic and 'Scottish' tone.
The unique camera work and the amazing transition shots. The extreme and beautifully-lit close-ups and the vast wide shots at the same time were remarkable. Even the borderline average moments (which were few but still) were better because of that. The acting, art direction, visual effects and score-which were better than ever (the score still lacked compared to PoA and SS's) helped the film as well, but the cinematography was what soared it in my opinion.
DH on the other hand will have the better script and score for sure. The art direction seems remarkable as it always was.The visual effects are on par with HBP as well as the acting (though we won't enjoy adult performances like Gambon,Broadbent and Rickman's in HBP, we still have Ifans,Fiennes,Bohnam Carter,Nighy,Staunton playing rather big parts with an additional stellar cast in more prominent roles). Costume-Design seems better than ever in this film (from the Nazi guards to the Snatchers, from the Wedding guests to the Death Eaters), as well as interesting work on Make-Up (Voldemort,Harry stinged etc.). The editing will also be a lot better because of the less material to work with.
So, all in all, in terms of acting, screenwriting and all technical aspects, DH1 will be the best film in the series. But what's lacking is the really artsy and innovative cinematography that HBP had. I'm a fan of Eduardo Serra and I loved his work on Blood Diamond,Girl with the Pearl Earring,Wings of a Dove and Defiance. But it's quite generic. I haven't seen many great shots, to be honest. Though Part II seems to have epic shots and I seriously can't wait for that, Part I seems to lack something. And that's a serious concern.
I adored A LOT of shots. But there were others who lacked something or were a bit boring visually (7 Potters in the Dursleys House, the 7 Potters highway chase,Climax at Malfoy Manor,Ron and Harry's argument and few other moments). I still think that DH's cinematography will come second or third best (after HBP and/or PoA) but I don't think that it'll be my #01.
I still think it's very good, but it lacks something.I have faith on Serra, though, and we have barely seen anything from all the camping/travelling sequences which will be long, they'll take a large portion of the film and they're very much Serra's style. The 3-4 landscape shots we've seen were truly breathtaking. Or the Ministry infiltration for instance. The cinematography is so good that the Atrium was impressive at last (comparing to its dull representation in OotP).
All in all, I've got my doubts but most of what I've seen is very good. I can't wait to see the final product.
