This soooooooo BULLSHIT!!!!!!! I knew WB would do this shit, thats y i didnt wanna get the first 2 UE cuz they thought that once we get the first 2 we feel obliged to get the rest but HELL no i wont get these if they have no extended cuts i swear to u.....OMFG fucking WB keeps fucking with us:$ R:,$
Same here jonny but i guess not. I had a gut feeling this would happen.....the deleted scenes in POA arent done and they wont waste more money on them to put in the UE......im so pissed, probably worse than hearing DH part 1 would be pg!!!!! Anyways,i dont plan on getting them now, unless they are cheaper than the other ones......BTW it says digital copy of the theatrical film, that could mean there are 2 versions......and remember how they sold the extended editions on dvd seperate(not the UE) they could make more money from that....... R:,/
What the crap?! I thought having the extended version was one part of the whole point to these Ultimate Editions? Because doesn't SS and COS come with a theatrical disc and one with all deleted scenes put back in? That's why I want to buy them is because of the extended versions. Not so "ultimate" when it won't have what the fans want from it.
Man im starting to hate WB,big time.......another company wouldve had the extended cuts if they were available.....theyre doing this cuz later theyll re release them in ultimate 3d blu ray with the fucking extended cuts..... Fucking assholes:$ R:,$
I don't usually get angry at such things and I don't usually swear, but there comes a time when things just get a little too annoying. Well, I'm certainly not wasting my money on that sbwriel. It's a scadal ! It's an outrage and a big fat rip-off ! WB is just a bag of piss that doesn't deserve this wonderful franchise.
Surprising they haven't included at least these extended TV versions.
I'm not too bothered anyway, I won't get my hands on these until all 6 are released in the US. Anyway, I'm much more interested to see these documentaries and behind-the-scenes stuff, it sounds really fascinating especially the Music one. Not surprised we didn't get some never-before-seen stuff like the Waterfall either my guess is those scenes were never actually finished or Newell just didn't think they fit or helped the film.
Still, the excuse for no extended movie like the ABC family one is stupid. I would still watch that for a extended edition, but even without that, its pointless to buy.
Wait, I've thought of something. I now really think we'll have extended versions! That review was for the Blu-ray versions of PoA and GoF.
IIR, the Blu-rays of SS and CoS had three discs, with Disc 1 having both the Theatrical and Extended editions. The DVD however, had 4 discs. It had an extra disc because there was not enough storage space to include both Theatrical and Extended editions on one single disc.
Blu-ray stores more on one disc. So the review from Blu-ray.com and the other site is wrong, since they assume that just because there are 3 discs on the Blu-ray, there is no extended edition. They must be getting mixed up between the DVD 4 disc version and the Blu-ray 3 disc version. Therefore, there must be an extended and theatrical version included on 1 disc for Blu-ray and 2 separate discs for the DVD.
Well if its a mix up(wich i howly doubt) ill be happy. I have the blu ray ultimates of ss and cos....both versions on one disc.....but it specifically says that there will be NO extended cuts...... R:,/
But still im pretty sure they wont include them guys i have a gut feeling about that for some reason.....well im off to Phoenix, talk to ya later guys;) R:,)
Well I've emailed WB asking about the situation, and I've also emailed Home Cinema to see if it has been confirmed by WB or whether it's just assumption.
I've kind of got a mixed feeling about this, for POA I'd love to see the extended edition if they include new stuff but I couldn't care less if they just keep the deleted scenes in, considering it'll only be about 3 minutes longer. GOF? I never liked any of the deleted scenes.
Oh, I'd love the PI scene I think it looks extremely cool. The problem I had with GOF deleted scenes they were either relatively uninteresting (Harry trying to talk to Cho, A Student asking a student out) really annoying (The Weird Sister) the acting was quite bad (Karkaroff was so over-dramatic and I found H'arrys scar hurting done quite cheesy) or it threw all subtly out the window (Crouch and Mad-Eye). So who knows how these would be.
That being said I'd love the scene from POA where Sirius attacks Ron - we got the aftermath in the deleted scenes. =D
OOTP had the worst deleted scenes, 2 minutes of Trelawney eating? Ugh. I hope we get some new stuff with that one
yeah, I'd wait till we get closer to the release date and for Warner Bros official announcement . . . a lot of those reviews are assuming that there is no Extended because there are only 3 discs . . . if any of these people had ACTUALLY bought the Ultimate Editions of SS and COS they'd know that there are only 3 discs with Theatrical and Extended on Disc 1.
Of coarse who knows, it may end up without the extended versions but somehow I doubt it.
I like the GOF deleted scene were Snape opens the carriages and takes points off of the ppl kissing i really wanna see that in the UE!!!!! My fave deleted scene!!!! R:,)
i honestly think we will get extended editions the whole point of the ultimate editions was the extended cuts. unless i get official confirmation that there are no extended cuts i dont believe it
I received an email from the site that reported no extended editions and all they said was that ''the information came from Warner''.
However, this was regarding the confirmed information they provided, not their claim of no extended editions. They said that Disc 1 has ''The Movie''. They MUST be assuming that ''The Movie'' means just the Theatrical Version, as they didn't deny that it was just an assumption in the email. The SS and COS Ultimate Editions had ''The Movie'' witten on Disc 1, which had both theatrical and extended. So there's hope after all.
I am still waiting for the response from "WB Customer Service for DVD and Blu-ray".
Well, jonny,i dont have hope at all,i think they wont include extended cuts......i knew this since i baught the first 2 ultimates.......it doesnt even have picture in picture feature this FUCKING sucks!!!! R:,$

I think this is good enough to make the assumption that the POA & GOF Ultimate Editions WILL have the extended cuts. If that's the same wording that WB used when announcing SS and COS then I'm more than satisfied. Again, we'll have to wait and see for sure but things are looking good if the marketing is the same :-)
Wait, I just remembered - I have emailed WB before about the extended UEs for PoA and GoF and they said that they didn't know how much time would be put into the PoA and GoF. Surely, this would hint that they are including extended versions, only they didn't know how much they would be extended at the time. So, there's still hope.
I would really love an extended version of Prisoner of Azkaban. I think that was the one movie for me that felt very complete, I never really thought of what they cut out and how that would've looked on screen with Cuaron's style.

Bad news: no extended cuts.
WTF WB! I'm not buying it now. Really now, wtf?
Yeah, but still: if they DON'T have them, then yeah I'm personally not getting them.
However these editions are still not available for Europe, but I really hope they will be soon

Ok, this really sucks. I was so wanting to see GoF with 20+ minutes with new footage, but f*ck this. Screw you WB.

Never thought of that lol.
Thanks jonny.

Good thinking jonny.
Yeah I just want to see the waterfall and the priori explination for GoF. PoA, maybe more on the Marauders. I would love to see that.
As for OoTP: just give us the hour. HBP: idc, the movie was fine the way it was.
That being said I'd love the scene from POA where Sirius attacks Ron - we got the aftermath in the deleted scenes. =D

If it ends up without the extended stuff, then whats the point of a Ultimate edition? The entire point is to have the best HP DVD/collection.
disc4 digital copy
for me this would say : disc 1 extended cut and disc 4 movie like in cine

Me too.
It gave so much insight, and now we would get
to see Cuaron's vision for the third film (which
in my opinion is one of the series best).
